The 2025 Critics Choice Awards have been postponed again due to the wildfires in LA, PEOPLE confirms.
“The show is being moved to a later date,” a source familiar with the annual awards show told PEOPLE.
According to Rok i Diversitythe ceremony has now been moved to February, and the exact date should be announced in the coming days.
The first ceremony was set to be broadcast live on E! on Sunday, January 12, and stream on Peacock the following day, with Chelsea Handler as host.
A day after a fire broke out in the Palisades just a few miles from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, where the event was scheduled to take place, the Critics Choice Association postponed it to Sunday, January 26, before it was postponed again.

Awards, sporting events and more have been canceled or postponed due to the devastating wildfires in Southern California
Critics Choice Association CEO Joey Berlin expressed his condolences to those affected by the wildfires in a previous statement.
“This unfolding tragedy has already deeply affected our community. All our thoughts and prayers are with those battling the devastating fires and with all those affected,” he said in a statement.
The leading films nominated for Critics Choice Awards 2025 are Conclave and evil, with 11 nominations each and Dina: The second part and Emilia Perez, the following example, with 10 nominations each.

News of the 2025 Critics Choice Awards comes a day after the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that the voting period for Oscar nominations has been extended to Friday, January 17, and that the announcement of the nominations has been postponed to Thursday, January 23 at 8: 30 a.m. ET and will be a virtual event with no in-person media.
As of Tuesday, January 14, 24 people have died in the fires in LA, while 23 people are missing.

How to help the victims of the fire in Los Angeles
According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the Palisades fire has burned over 23,000 acres and is only 18% contained.
The Eaton fire is 35% contained after burning 14,117 hectares, while the Hurst fire has spread to 799 hectares and is 97% contained.
In a statement to PEOPLE, Gov. Gavin Newsom said he is “working in real time to ensure a swift and organized recovery — giving Angelenos the tools they need to rebuild faster and stronger.”
