Danielle Olivera Says She Was ‘Definitely on the Prowl’ Heading into Winter House Season 3 (Exclusive)

Danielle Olivera entered Winter house season 3 hoping to turn up the heat in her love life after her breakup with Robert Sieber.

“My mindset was: just have fun. Going to Colorado is one of my favorite things, so I thought, let’s see what happens — and definitely on the hunt,” Olivera, 34, tells PEOPLE. “It’s a holiday atmosphere, so I’m not looking for anything serious. He’s not even looking for a situation, he’s just looking for fun and trouble. The most casual.”

Olivera previously spent time with her former chef in Aspen while he was working at The Snow Lodge, but revealed she is returning to Colorado for Winter housewhich was filmed in Steamboat Springs, quite healing.

“I was actually in Aspen a month before we started filming and I was fine,” she says. “It was crap when I was at his restaurant — his restaurant throws good parties, so my friends like to go there, and I wasn’t going to say no. But overall, I think being able to overcome being in the same place was quite therapeutic for me and offered a lot of closure.”

That’s why, says Olivera, she started filming Winter house in “fairly good” headroom.

“I felt like I was finally ready for a relationship with new people,” Olivera continues. “I was finally ready for new, strange, bearded men. When you go to the mountains, that’s kind of on your mind.”

Olivera initially intended to remain friends with Sieber after their two-year relationship ended, but now tells PEOPLE they’re “not in touch.”

“We’ll probably never be in touch,” she admits. “Aspen has completely closed the door on that. He was seeing someone new who I was very suspicious of and called him names because of him, but he said I was crazy. And so, I don’t foresee us becoming friends—perhaps cordial.”

The Summer house star was grateful to have fellow New York singles Jordan Emanuel (from Summer Home: Martha’s Vineyard) and her friend Casey Craig in a shared house. Olivera says she felt “protective” of her friend Craig during her first season on Bravo.

“We’d be lying if we didn’t say how we’ve succeeded is usually something we think about, and she’s so career-oriented. It is also in the technological space,” says Olivera. “She asked me a bunch of questions just to be sure, and I put her mind at ease. [I said] like, ‘Just be yourself.’ And oh my god, she’s alone. She’s so quirky and so different, and she just puts it all out there.”

However, she did not want to see Olivera Vanderpump Rules‘ Tom Sandoval or Tom Schwartz — who appeared briefly in Winter house season 2 — appeared in Colorado following the news of Sandoval’s cheating scandal.

“I’m like, oh God — because I’m friends with Ariana [Madix, Sandoval’s ex]I’m friends with Katie [Maloney, Schwartz’s ex], so I’m nowhere near on his side,” says Olivera. “This is how it goes sometimes, I don’t know for sure who will be there. Schwartz is rumored to be joining the house, and this is very close to Sandoval. There is also talk that Sandoval could be there, and I said, Oh no, that might kill the vibe.”

Sandoval, 41, didn’t make it to the Winter House this year, but viewers will see Schwartz, 41 — and according to Olivera, his presence didn’t kill the atmosphere.

“It’s one of those things that was obviously the elephant in the room and we weren’t sure if he even wanted to talk about it,” says app co-founder Donne. “I just wanted to be in a more positive place, so if he didn’t want to bring it up, I didn’t want to say, ‘Let’s sit down and work this out.’ But in the end, we talk about it a little bit, just to clear it up.”

Another source of tension: summer house’with Kory Keefer coming to the house and downplaying the status of his relationship with Sam Feher.

“I’m friends with Sam, so I was like, Oh damn“, says Olivera.

But after voicing her opinion on actors Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke’s relationship costing her her friendship with both actors, Olivera wanted to keep her thoughts on Keefer, 33, and Feher, 26, to herself.

“I simply got burned by interfering in someone’s relationship and giving my opinion, so I thought I would stay out of your life,” explains Olivera. “He is of age, he can do and say whatever he wants. I will try to bite my tongue.”

Despite the drama, Olivera says “this cast really, really loves each other” — and they threw epic parties.

“We have a western theme, like Yellowstone vibes, and we know my aesthetic is like that, so I was so excited,” Olivera says of her favorite season three kick. “We met so many people in the city. We invited everyone we met. If we were out at a bar, we just said, ‘Hey, if you’re free, come over.’ It is a vacation town, so everyone was free and everyone came. It was really, really fun.”
