David Beckham says his “very precise” pre-trip planning is getting on his wife Victoria Beckham’s nerves.
“It annoys Victoria a bit because my bags would be packed three days before we go,” he explained while speaking at the Bowers & Wilkins launch in New York on Tuesday (August 27). Victoria, meanwhile, tends to “Still mess around” the day before she leaves, he claimed.
The soccer legend (49) added that his ex Spajsica (50) laughs at him when he chooses clothes especially for the destination they visit.
“If we go to Italy, I dress Italian. We’re going to Spain, I’m dressing it up,” he said. “I kind of try different things because I think you get a lot of inspiration from traveling.”
David also revealed his travel must-haves, starting with a pair of headphones that “block everything else out.”

“When I’m away from home, I like to take pictures of children,” continued the father of four. He said he also packs photos of Victoria, with whom he has four children: Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 13.
And there is one more important thing that he takes on trips.
“I like to take a candle, when I’m allowed,” he said. “You know, there aren’t many places in hotels where you can light candles, so it’s a bit limited.”
He explained that it reminds him of home, noting, “We always have candles lit at home and it’s always the same smell.”

The couple, who celebrated 25 years of marriage in July, often share photos from their family vacations.
Earlier this month, David joked that he resents his wife’s sophisticated style.
During their vacation in Italy, he posted a picture on his Instagram Stories of Victoria reading a book while wearing a black dress and a wide-brimmed hat.
“Annoyingly elegant,” he wrote.

In July, the couple enjoyed another outing: a boat trip in France with Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
“Happy summer!! Kisses,” Victoria captioned the photos, which showed the family making the most of the summer.

In one picture, Victoria was lounging on a boat against the backdrop of a picturesque sunset. In another, David grins at Romeo with his arm around Cruz.
In one frame, Harper posed with her parents, and in the other with her brother Romeo. The gallery ended with a photo of Victoria and David embracing at the stern of the ship.

It wasn’t the Beckhams’ only outing on the water this year.
In June, David, Victoria and Romeo were seen on a yacht anchored off the coast of the Italian island of Sardinia. The family was relaxing on the Mediterranean Sea, and Romeo was circling around on a jet ski.
Victoria and David celebrated Easter on a luxury yacht with Harper, Cruz, Brooklyn and Nicola.
Victoria also spent her 50th birthday on a yacht, joined by friends Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber in April
