D’Andra Simmons and Mama Dee sit together in this exclusive clip from tonight’s new episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas, airing March 23, following their fight at Tiffany Moon’s birthday party. If you missed last week’s episode, Mama Dee suggested that D’Andra use her stepfather’s last name in order to succeed in her life. This led to an argument between mother and daughter.
D’Andra and her mom talk about their family turmoil, and she says, “So I’m sure when my dad died and then the wills and everything, you know, that led to it because I changed my name, that was one of the reasons that, I guess, they felt entitled to that property.”
The Bravo celeb admits she’s still worried about the situation as it continues. In the confessional, she continues: “I always felt a little guilty about changing my name. I often think about how much more damage could have been done to the family if I hadn’t. Will there be another will? Would anything be different?
Although years have passed, D’Andra admits that “it’s still very difficult for everyone.” That explains why D’Andra was so upset by Mama Dee’s comment.
“After the party the other night, I think you got a lot of things wrong and I don’t think I understood,” Mom Dee says. “I want to meet you. I believed in my heart that everything we had been through in the last two years had already happened.
Mama Dee said she thought they were “finally done with all this.” So she wasn’t expecting “another hiccup down the road.” I’m sick of the hiccups, D’Andra, she continues. Mama Dee’s desire to mend her relationship with her daughter remains evident.
Mama Dee says, “I love you, I care about you,” with tears in her eyes. “You will always be my only son, no matter how angry I am. I don’t want you to regret it in the future. I don’t want you to look back at this moment with regret.
