Delhi University Winter Break: Delhi University has announced early winter break due to alarming air pollution in the national capital. According to the official notification, the faculty will remain closed from November 13 to 19, 2023.

Delhi University winter vacation 2023, which is usually held in December, has been postponed due to GRAP-IV measures being implemented due to ongoing air pollution in Delhi.

The authorities have also changed the exam dates for UG and PG courses starting from 20th December and 8th January 2024. The exam schedule will be announced soon for all programs.

However, exams for SOL students will be held on time. Previously, the UG exams were scheduled for December 13, while the PG exams were supposed to be held from January 1.

Delhi School Winter Holidays 2023

Meanwhile, the Delhi government has also declared winter holidays for schools due to rising air pollution. Schools will remain closed from 9 to 18 November 2023. Usually, winter holidays are announced during December and January.

All classes in Delhi will be canceled due to pollution, except for children in classes 10 and 12, which will be held virtually. It should be mentioned that the holidays were moved with the winter holidays so that the students would not be affected by the announced holidays.

Delhi’s air quality index has been marked as ‘severe’ for the past few days. Earlier this week, only a slight improvement was noted, but the condition began to deteriorate again. The AQI has reached 999 in Anand Vihar, while the situation is still severe elsewhere.
