Southwest Airlines issued a very important announcement to passengers on a flight from Las Vegas to Kansas City on Monday: “Kelce’s mom is on the plane.”
Donna Kelce, mother of Travis and Jason Kelce, traveled from Sunday’s Super Bowl in Sin City to Kansas City, Mo., for the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory parade, scheduled for Wednesday.
“You are on a very special flight,” a Southwest flight attendant says in a video the airline shared documenting the moment. “In the afternoon, we bring a VIP person, a very important parent. Mama Kelce is on board, everyone.”
“Congratulations to her and her family and the whole team at Chiefs. Well done, very proud,” adds the flight attendant before continuing to quote the Beastie Boys’ 1986 anthem “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!).”
“And also, I have one thing to say,” he teases her. “Obviously, I have to say, ‘You have to fight for your right…’”
“To the party,” shouts the crowd, including Donna, ending the line.

The Chiefs tight end quoted the song last year when the team won the 2023 Super Bowl and when they celebrated a big win over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship in January.
Southwest captioned the post, which she shared with Donna, “We flew the MVP (Most Valuable Parent) home with The Big Game. We 🫶 you Mama Kelce!”
Some Instagram users expressed their surprise to see the celebrity mom flying on a budget airline.
“Couldn’t her son or Taylor Swift pay for first class or maybe a private jet???” read one comment, which was about Travis and his music megastar girlfriend.
Other comments praise the celebrity mom for her unpretentiousness.
“This woman shouldn’t be flying Southwest but she has to anyway. Down to earth queen! No wonder her sons are so down to earth,” one wrote.
Donna shared a photo of herself with the pilots in the cockpit of the plane, writing, “Thank you @southwestair (and especially Cheyenne L.!) for bringing me to KC for the parade!!!!”

Travis Kelce kisses Taylor Swift on the field after he and the Chiefs meet in the 2024 Super Bowl.
She also posted a picture of a fan wearing a T-shirt that read “In My Travis Era,” a nod to Travis’ romance with Swift, who is still on the international leg of her Eras Tour.
After a run of four Eras Tour shows in Tokyo that ended Friday night, Swift arrived in Las Vegas to watch Travis help the Kansas City Chiefs win their second straight Super Bowl.
Kelce and Swift embraced on the court after the game and stayed at Las Vegas Stadium until 5 a.m. celebrating with teammates, friends, family and thousands of fans.
