If all this couldn’t get you to swipe right, Elf Cosmetics and Tinder’s new campaign featuring Harry Jowsey will.
“[Dating] it’s all about having fun, accepting who you are and being bold. I love being able to bring some comic relief to an experience that can sometimes be a bit nerve-wracking, while also helping people feel more confident!” Dancing with the stars alum, 27, tells PEOPLE via email, adding that he was “thrilled” to be involved in the partnership.
Despite being known for his appearances on dating shows like Too hot to handle and A perfect matchJowsey also admits that she even gets “butterflies” when she meets her matches. But she hopes that this campaign and the products in it can help everyone own their style and feel confident before the meeting.
For his part, Jowsey always makes sure he looks “fresh”.
Before a date, she usually shaves, styles her hair and preps with her favorite beauty products, including All Slick No Ick primer. “It’s legal. It’s great for prepping my skin before a big night out, even as someone who doesn’t wear makeup except in front of the camera,” she says, adding that it makes her feel “cute”.
Jowsey also makes sure to dress to impress. “I like to be casual but sharp. Maybe a nice clean shirt, jeans and clean sneakers. I think it’s important to feel comfortable, but also to show that you’ve put in some effort.”
He also incorporates a few other routines (listening to a playlist that matches his vibe, working out) to prevent first date jitters. “Your getting ready routine is the perfect opportunity to play around, experiment with your look, and set the tone for your date,” she says.
Now, question number one: what’s Harry Jowsey’s idea of a perfect night out?
“Something low-key, but fun,” he tells PEOPLE. “Maybe mini golf, arcade. I think it’s important to keep calm so you can actually get to know each other. It takes the pressure off and gives you a chance to have fun. Besides, I’m always in the mood for a little friendly competition!”
