EastEnders star Jessie Wallace seen on boozy night out at O2 Arena with road rage killer Kenneth Noye at Elvis tribute

EASTENDERS star Jessie Wallace enjoyed a VIP night watching an Elvis tribute concert with notorious road rage killer Kenny Noye.

The actress (52) was partying in London’s O2 arena with a gangster (76) who also stabbed a policeman to death once.

Angry detectives attacked Noye’s celebrity lifestyle after he was seen partying with EastEnders actress Jessie at a concert.

The 76-year-old, released from prison in 2019 after killing a driver in road rage, enjoyed VIP hospitality in the corporate box alongside the 52-year-old, who plays Kat Slater.

The soap opera was arrested last year for kneeing a police officer in the groin during a drunken night out.

One disgusted retired police officer said: “You’ve got a murdering cop and an abusive cop together in one box.”

They were among the guests for £200 a head as the champagne flowed at London’s O2 arena as they watched the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra perform Elvis songs.

The unlikely pair are thought to have met at the event through a mutual friend.

A source said: “They were both in the corporate box reliving it. Seeing Kat Slater swaying to Elvis next to Kenny Noye was surreal to say the least – not to mention incredibly embarrassing.”

It is believed that it was known before Tuesday night’s concert that the notorious criminal would be at the lodge — owned by City Trading Group OSTC.

The source added: “Boxes at O2 must be signed in advance, and names and contact details must be provided. People knew who else was present and Kenneth was being gossiped about in advance – everyone was quite amazed at what was going on.”

Noye fatally stabbed police officer John Fordham, 43, in 1985, but was acquitted of self-defense. In 2000, he was jailed for life for murdering electrician Stephen Cameron, 21, during a road rage incident in 1996 in Swanley, Kent.

However, he was released for life in 2019 and is now believed to be building property and living in Kent.

Cameron’s fiancee Danielle Cable, who was 17 and was at the scene when Noye killed her future husband, is still in witness protection.

Retired detective Nick Biddiss, who led the murder investigation, said: “He’s out enjoying his life. It doesn’t seem fair to me.”

Former Flying Squad detective Barry Phillips added: “The families of Noye’s victims and police officers will be horrified to learn that he lives a celebrity lifestyle given his heinous crimes. Many colleagues believe that Noye should have been convicted of the murder of John Fordham. If he had, he would never have been out the moment he stabbed Stephen to death. It’s sickening to hear she’s out with celebrities.”

Noye, jailed in 1986 for his part in the Brink’s Mat bullion heist, was controversially dramatized on screen earlier this year as a wise boy in the BBC’s The Gold.

Former Detective Chief Inspector Mick Neville said: “Maybe Jessie was honored by the chirpy cockney charm the BBC portrayed him with.

“They portrayed him as more of a Del Boy guy than a vicious knife-wielding killer. Mrs. Wallace would do well to stay away from a violent criminal who has brought nothing but misery to the world.”

Jessie, who played gobby Kat Slater in the BBC soap for 20 years, was a policewoman in her first TV role, in 1999’s The Bill.

She’s also had her share of run-ins with the police off-screen.

In June last year she was cautioned for kneeing a police officer in the groin during an attack outside a club in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

Footage obtained by The Sun shows Jessie attacking him as he tries to calm her down.

She was taken to a police van and later expressed her “deep regret”.

The BBC called her behavior “unacceptable”. In 2003, she received a three-year drunk driving ban.

Last night, a spokesman said she did not know Noye, adding: “If he was in the common public box, it’s a real coincidence.”

The owners of the OSTC boxes declined to comment.

THEY STEAL AS A CHILD TO KILLING AS AN ADULT

By John Lucas

KENNETH Noye’s career as a criminal saw him rise from child abuser to gangster and murderer.

He was in trouble for the first time at the age of five, plunging into the till at Woolworths. He also ran the school’s protection racket.

Noye left at 15 and became a dealer in stolen goods who tipped off rivals to the police.

He became notorious when he stabbed and killed Attorney General John Fordham, who was keeping Noye under surveillance after the 1983 Brink’s-Mat bullion raid.

Noye was acquitted of murder in 1985, but was sentenced to 14 years in prison in 1986 for conspiracy to trade in gold.

On May 19, 1996, he stabbed Stephen Cameron, 21, to death in a road rage attack on the M25 junction.

Noye escaped and was Britain’s most wanted man.

The police caught him in 1998. Stephen’s girlfriend Danielle Cable traveled with them to Spain to identify Noye.

Noye, born in Bexleyheath, then Kent, was given a life sentence for the murder and was released in 2019.
