Embassy of Japan Answers Whether Taylor Swift Can Fly from Tokyo to Vegas in Time for the Super Bowl

The Embassy of Japan in Washington, DC has joined the chorus of voices talking about Taylor Swift’s busy February travel schedule.

After the Kansas City Chiefs punched their ticket to the 2024 Super Bowl, people wondered if Swift, 34, would be able to attend the Feb. 11 game in Las Vegas after her Eras Tour stop in Tokyo on Feb. 10 to support the team and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34.

Embassy — using Swift’s album titles Speak now, Fearless and Red in a statement — assured Swifties and NFL fans that the “Mastermind” singer could “comfortably” make the trip.

“Despite the 12-hour flight and the 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak now to say that if she leaves Tokyo the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the start of the Super Bowl,” the embassy wrote in a statement shared on its verified Instagram account @JapanEmbDC and other social media profiles.

Swift is scheduled to attend but not perform at the Grammys on Feb. 4 before flying to Japan for four consecutive nights at the Tokyo Dome from Feb. 7-10.

After the Feb. 10 concert, Swift is expected, though unconfirmed, to hop on a flight in Tokyo to fly to Vegas to watch the Chiefs and Kelce face off against the San Francisco 49ers. At some point after the game, Swift is then scheduled to leave the United States to arrive in Australia for her seven shows in Melbourne and Sydney from February 16-26.

Before the NFL Championship, the 12-time Grammy winner attended 12 Chiefs games since she and Kelce announced their relationship in September 2023. With Swift in attendance, the Chiefs won nine games and lost just three.

After beating the Baltimore Ravens on Jan. 28, Kelce found Swift on the court after his win and gave her a hug and kiss to much fanfare.

The Super Bowl would mark Swift’s 13th game — her favorite number.
