Emma Roberts celebrates her son’s third birthday!
The actress, 32, shared a series of sweet photos on Instagram as she celebrated her son Rhodes Robert Hedlund, who turned 3 on Wednesday.
Roberts posted a black and white photo on Instagram of her smiling at Rhodes as he smiles at the camera.
“Happy birthday to the sweetest soul. I love you Rhodes! Here’s to 3! ❤️,” Roberts captioned the post.
The American Horror Story the actress also shared snaps of her son on her Instagram stories, including one picture of her cuddling Rhodes while she smiles back at the camera and her son stares off into the distance.
She captioned the first celebratory Instagram Story, “happy birthday Roadie!”

Another Instagram Story included a shot of a portrait of Rhodes in a seemingly homemade picture frame. “HBD angel boy,” Roberts wrote.

Roberts shares Rhodes – who was born on December 27, 2020 – with ex Garrett Hedlund.
Shortly after celebrating Rhodes’ first birthday, PEOPLE confirmed that Roberts and Hedlund divorced in January 2022.
In January, Roberts shared with PEOPLE that being a working mom can be “really hard.”
“I see it from such a different perspective now,” she told PEOPLE. “Being a mom is a full-time job, so I can see how for women who have a full-time job and [are] full-time mothers, it’s so hard, and I respect them so much.”

Although Roberts shared a birthday message, she kept Rhodes out of the spotlight and only shared a few photos of him.
On Thanksgiving Day, Scream queens alum posted an adorable photo of her and Rhodes enjoying a sweet moment while standing in what appeared to be an apple picking field. The actress held Rhodes in her arms and made a silly face while he sucked on a pacifier.
“Grateful ❤️,” she captioned the photo.

The We are the Millers the actress also shared a photo of her son picking apples in October. In an Instagram post, mother and son were photographed picking apples together. Roberts held up a plastic bag with her son’s name on it as the child placed an apple in the bag.
“Fall 🍁 🍎 💙,” the star captioned her photo.
