Emma Stone’s show-stopping red carpet style is back.
The 35-year-old actress appeared at the premiere of her new film on Friday, May 17 Kinds of kindness at the 77th Annual Cannes Film Festival in a custom Louis Vuitton burgundy sequin dress with a plunging neckline, plunging neckline and double ruffles. and a multi-level train. The Oscar winner also posed with her Kinds of kindness actors Willem Dafoe, Jesse Plemons, Hunter Schafer, Margaret Qualley and Joe Alwyn.

Kinds of kindness marks another collaboration between Stone and director Yorgos Lanthimos. The duo recently worked together on 2023 Poor peoplewhich brought Stone her second Academy Award for Best Actress.

According to the festival’s official website, Kinds of kindness is a “triptych fairy tale, which follows a man with no choice who tries to take control of his own life; a police officer who is concerned that his wife who disappeared at sea has returned and appears to be a different person; and a woman determined to find a certain someone with special abilities, destined to become an incredible spiritual leader.”

During her acceptance speech for Best Actress, Stone told the audience that the back zipper on her dress broke.
She jokingly blamed her friend and La la country actor Ryan Gosling, saying: “I think it happened during ‘I’m Just Ken.’ I am quite sure.”
A few weeks later, Stone said The Hollywood Reporter that the mistake “was really my fault”. In a joint interview, her longtime stylist Petra Flannery added that Stone had “willingly and elegantly” handled the “now famous” incident.
