Emma Stone’s Oscars dress is all sewn up!
After winning Best Actress at the 2024 Academy Awards on Sunday, Poor people star, 35, revealed she was able to repair her dress after tearing it while dancing to Ryan Gosling’s rendition of “I’m Just Ken” at the ceremony.
“They stitched me back up,” Stone told reporters backstage after the win. “When I came back, they stitched me back up, which was wonderful.”
The actress continued, “I think in general I made a mistake during ‘I’m Just Ken.’ I was so in awe of Ryan and what he was doing, and that number just blew me away. And I was there, and I just wanted to, and, you know , things happen.”

Stone wore a mint green strapless Louis Vuitton dress with a wide peplum skirt to the awards show, and accessorized her look with a 30-carat yellow diamond necklace from Louis Vuitton’s High Jewelry collection.
While accepting the award for best actress for her portrayal of Bella Baxter in Poor people during the ceremony, Stone admitted to breaking the dress following her La la country costar Gosling’s spirited rendition of “I’m Just Ken” from the 2023 soundtrack. Barbie.
“Oh man. My dress is broken,” Stone began her speech as she turned to reveal a broken zipper on the back of her dress. “I think it happened during ‘I’m Just Ken.’ I’m pretty sure,” she added as the crowd cheered.

Gosling, 43, certainly brought Ken-ergy to the stage on Sunday night with his performance as Stone joined in as well. At one point during his performance, he handed the microphone to Stone, who joined in singing along with him Barbie starring Margot Robbie and America Ferrera.
Stone won her first Academy Award for Best Actress in 2017 for her portrayal of Mia Dolan in the film La la countryin which she starred opposite Gosling.

For his performance of “I’m Just Ken” at the Oscars, Gosling wore a custom Barbie-pink Gucci suit and pink gloves. Kens co-stars – Scott Evans, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Ncuti Gatwa – joined the actor on stage for the performance and also wore Gucci, along with the backing dancers.
Mark Ronson, who wrote and produced the song with Andrew Wyatt, also joined Gosling before Slash and Wolfgang Van Halen made surprise appearances to finish off the epic performance.
