Erika Girardi Admits She’s ‘at a Loss’ in Long-Awaited Sit-Down Over Ex Tom’s Alleged Multi-Million-Dollar Fraud

Erika Girardi struggles to find words as she looks her estranged husband Tom Girardi’s victims in the eye.

On Tuesday, ABC News Studios and LA Times Studios announced the release Housewife and Con artist 2: Reckoning — a documentary that will serve as a follow-up to the duo’s first film, which investigated the financial crimes of a disgraced lawyer.

In a press release shared with PEOPLE, Housewife and con man 2 will continue “a shocking investigation into former attorney Tom Girardi and the fall of his legal empire.” This time, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 52, will finally face the victims of his ex.

The documentary will not only introduce viewers to the long-awaited moment, but will also share the untold stories of those who were closest to Erika and how they were affected.

“This story was a nuclear explosion,” a voiceover explains after several headlines depicting the Girardis and their alleged crimes.

“Today, several victims will get the chance to finally meet Erika Girardi,” LA Times investigative reporter Matt Hamilton says via Bravolebrity footage of him entering the home and sitting down with the victims.

“I’m a little at a loss as to what to say,” she admits, to which one of the affected women replies, “Have you seen the documentary?”

As one expert breaks down the “crash and burn” of Tom’s legal empire, another asks about Erika: “Why are you beating this woman? It’s hundreds and millions of dollars. Where did all the money go?”

“It was like matches to dynamite,” legal counsel Kimberly Archie said, and another expert asked, “How much of this did she know?”

While Erika may or may not have been privy to her estranged husband’s deception, Marco Morante and Chris Psaila, co-owners of design studio MARCO MARCO, claim that she is responsible for at least one injustice.

“She loved us and immediately turned to me when she needed money,” claims Psaila.

“For him to be involved in such a huge scheme, and then for The Real Housewives to be involved,” attorney Angela Angotti begins as fellow attorney Cesie Alvarez concludes, “My reaction was, ‘Oh, crap.’

After teasing audio from Tom to LA Times and others labeling him as the “master manipulator”, the trailer shows another victim describing him as “the devil”.

“You can play the villain The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills if you want, but don’t be a p— victim,” Archie continues. “I wanted Erica to say I’m sorry face to face.

When the victim asks, “Erika, why did it take you so long?” she replies, “I was never asked to do that. Nobody was interested in my side of the story.”
