TV PERSONALITY Eduardo Xol died at the age of 58 a week after he was stabbed.

Xol died Thursday afternoon, his family confirmed.
An interior designer called police after he was stabbed at an apartment complex on Sept. 10, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
PSPD said he was rushed to the hospital and was in serious but stable condition several hours after the attack.
He reportedly told officers he had been stabbed — but did not identify who stabbed him.

Richard Joseph Gonzales, 34, was arrested in connection with the stabbing the day it happened, according to local ABC affiliate KESQ.
He called police hours after the incident to report that he had been assaulted the night before, PSPD said.
Officers then identified Gonzales as the suspect in Xolo’s stabbing.
Charges against Gonzales were upgraded from attempted murder to murder following Xolo’s death, PSPD confirmed to The Sun.
Gonzales remains in custody at a detention center in Indio, a 30-minute drive from Palm Springs.
He is currently in custody without bail.

Xol was best known for his work as a designer on the hit ABC show, which he joined during its second season. He starred in the series until the 8th season.
Before working in the reality show, Xol was known as a musician and actor in Mexico.
Xolo’s family confirmed his death in a statement shared with The US Sun.
“We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved Eduardo Xolo,” the statement read.

Sept. 10 at 5:41 a.m. – Eduardo Xol called police to his Palm Springs apartment after he was stabbed. He was taken to the hospital and is in a serious but stable condition.
September 10 at 9:13 a.m. – Richard Joseph Gonzales called police and claimed he had been assaulted the night before. The police determined that he was a suspect in the stabbing of Xolo and arrested him.
September 19 – Xol died in hospital 10 days after the stabbing.
“As his family, we know that his kindness touched the lives of so many people.
“We ask that that courtesy be returned now and allow our privacy to be respected while we process our grief.”
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations in Eduardo’s name to the American Lupus Foundation.
EMOTIONAL GOODBYE
Xola’s friend, Richard Pérez-Feria, shared a heartbreaking tribute to the star on Instagram following his death.
“It’s almost incomprehensible that I’m writing this post as a goodbye to someone who was so present, so important in my life,” Pérez-Feria wrote on Monday.
“When I first learned that Eduardo Xol had passed away, I was numb. It was impossible to process the information because it was inconsistent with my thousands of experiences with him.
“Please don’t ask me how or why at this point… the most important thing is who he was: a talented, beautiful, passionate friend, brother, son and partner.
“Sending healing love at this terrible time to his circle of friends and family who loved him so much.
“Unfortunately, tomorrow is not promised. Love each other. Rest in peace, Eduardo.”
