Fantasia Barrino’s 3 Children: All About Zion, Dallas and Keziah

Fantasia Barrino wants to change generational patterns with her three children, Zion, Dallas and Keziah.

Season 3 American Idol the winner had her first daughter, Zion, with Brandel Shouse in 2001. Ten years later, she had a son, Dallas, with Antwaun Cook. Fantasia’s youngest child, daughter Keziah, was born in 2021 to her and her husband Kendall Taylor.

Purple star has spoken openly about achieving one of her main dreams of steady love by marrying Kendall in July 2015 and welcoming daughter Keziah on May 23, 2021, after a “three-year journey” with fertility difficulties.

Fantasia also opened up about her parenting style and what she hopes her kids will learn from her and Kendall.

“I want to break generational curses,” she told PEOPLE about raising her children in April 2023. “When it comes to my family, my girls, my kids, I want to show them that no matter what [you’ve] gone, you can always come back and go after it again, and that’s what I’m doing.”

Fantasia had her first and only child with Brandel Shouse, daughter Zion Quari Barrino, when she was 17 years old.

Zion has been involved in her mom’s career — as a teenager, she starred in her mom’s 2017 music video for “When I Met You” as a younger version of Fantasia.

The actress’ first-born child went on to create her own makeup line, Quari Beauty, in December 2022. Her mother supported her at the cosmetics launch, hugging Zion when she broke down in tears while thanking her guests, according to a sweet YouTube clip.

“She is her mother’s child!” Fantasia exclaimed before asking the DJ to play the music.

Life is not a fairy tale The star also posted a photo of the mother-daughter duo on Instagram to celebrate her daughter’s work.

“She was my motivation for everything I did. She was my biggest investor. Now I’m going to invest back in her,” Fantasia wrote in the description of her daughter.

That same month, Zion followed in her mother’s acting footsteps, working on an untitled film project with rapper David Banner. Fantasy shared a photo of the pair together on Instagram, writing: “Thank you @davidbanner for taking care of my baby on her first movie set.”

Dallas Xavier Barrino, 12

On December 13, 2021, Fantasia welcomed her son Dallas Xavier Barrino with running back Antwaun Cook.

“I feel so blessed that my son, Dallas Xavier, was born healthy and is a wonderful new addition to our family,” Fantasia told PEOPLE at the time.

Dallas’ dad boasted about his good grades. Antwaun took to Instagram to share a photo of his son holding the badge of honor in February 2022. “I’m already so proud of my boy, but when he got into my car today giving up the badge of honor, I was more excited than he was,” the dad wrote in the description.

Both Fantasia and Antwaun have shared sweet birthday tributes to their son over the years, giving some insight into his personality.

“This kid is the best and he’s 11 today. I’ve never had a problem with my Lil Gamer so we built a playroom for this guy,” the mom of three wrote on Instagram in 2022. “Dallas Xavier I love you.”

Antwaun shared a similar message for his son’s 11th birthday, writing: “You are so creative, loving, handsome, funny or corny, depending on the day. Unconditionally, I love you with all my heart.”

Keziah London Taylor, 2

Fantasia and her husband Kendall welcomed Keziah London Taylor on May 23, 2021, after a three-year fertility struggle the singer shared with Tamron Hall.

Fantasia and Kendall had been trying to conceive for several years before taking a break and removing the pressure to conceive. “I’m not kidding, I forgot about it,” the actress said in 2020. “And then I woke up one night, and I was just like, ‘Something’s different.’ ” The pregnancy test confirmed Fantasia’s feeling that she was pregnant.

Keziah was born “a little premature” according to an Instagram post Fantasia shared on May 26, 2021, and was placed in the neonatal intensive care unit immediately after birth. Fantasia later spoke to PEOPLE about how hard it was being away from her new baby girl.

“I couldn’t take her home with me and I couldn’t protect her and I couldn’t hold her every day — that was hard for me,” she said in 2023.[It was] the hardest thing I’ve ever been through.”

Keziah, whom Fantasia called a “spicy little Gemini,” recovered about a month later, arriving home from the hospital with the singer in June 2021. “My baby walked out of the NICU to this four-month-old healthy baby 🤗🙏🏾,” she celebrated reality star in September 2021 Instagram update.

“Now that I’m watching her tell us what to do, it makes me even more fired up to keep moving,” Fantasia told PEOPLE in 2023. “She’s a constant reminder to me and my husband that everything is going to be okay because she fought through that NICU . She’s a tough cookie and still runs the house.”

Keziah attended her first day of school in September 2023, as seen in an Instagram post shared on the toddler’s account.
