Faouzia Ouihya (popularly known as Faouzia) was born on Wednesday, July 5, 2000, in Casablanca (also known as Dar el-Beida), Morocco (23 years old as of 2023). Her zodiac sign is Cancer. When she was one year old, her family moved from Morocco to Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba and later to Carmen, Manitoba, Canada.

Faouzia became interested in studying music at the age of four, especially after seeing her sister Samia play the piano as a child. She began writing poems and songs at the age of five and learned to play the piano at the age of six. Later she learned to play the violin and guitar. She also learned English, French and Arabic because her parents often spoke to her in Arabic.
Faouzia later attracted attention by uploading covers of popular songs and several of her own songs to YouTube. On November 1, 2015, she released her debut single “Knock on My Door” at the age of 15.
In 2017, she signed with Paradigm Talent Agency, which managed the early careers of pop stars such as Coldplay, Feist, Ed Sheeran and Sia.
