Former U.S. Women's Soccer Stars Tobin Heath and Christen Press Reveal They've Been Dating for 8 Years

Tobin Heath and Christen Press are dating!

The former US women’s soccer players revealed they have been dating for eight years on the July 28 episode of Peacock’s Watch with Alex Cooper.

“Tobin and I weren’t really friends. We weren’t really in the same circles. And then as soon as I really got to know her, there was just, like, magnetism,” Press, 35, said of what drew her to Heath, 36. “And I thought, this is what I want. And I’ve never looked back. I still feel the exact same way.”

“Someone just said to us the other day, ‘Oh, you’ve just met. You look like you’re in love.’ And I said, ‘No, it’s been eight years,'” Press added.

Heath joked that what attracted her to Press was that she was “really good at scoring goals”.

“I wasn’t that good at scoring goals. I thought I could learn something,” she said. Reflecting further on their romance, she added: “Sometimes we look at each other, we’re just like, ‘Is this really like real? Are we that lucky?’ ”

Although their relationship was kept out of the public eye, Press said they both always “knew we were dating.”

“I think there was something a little off-limits when it came to handling that situation, being super professional,” Press explained. “Honestly, we’re both forwards and competing for space, competing for time. And then off the field, locking down, being in a relationship and navigating through the early, early stages of our relationship.”

“It wasn’t until we both weren’t playing on the same team that it was a little easier for us to come forward and share our relationship a little more,” Press continued.

As for whether their teammates knew about their romance, Press said, “Our people always knew what was going on with us.”

“We were never in the closet and hiding it,” she added. In addition to being a couple, women are also business partners.

Press and Heath co-founded lifestyle brand RE-INC in 2019 with fellow soccer players Megan Rapinoe and Meghan Klingenberg. According to the website, the brand offers “eco-conscious fashion” and “creative products.”
