Parents Kidnapped, 5 Children Left Behind After Armed Men Break Into San Antonio Home

Police in Texas are searching for a couple who were abducted from their home in front of their five children on Wednesday morning.

According to San Antonio police, according to ABC News, the double kidnapping happened when two men with guns showed up at the family’s home uninvited around 6 a.m. local time.

The man and woman in their late 30s were then taken against their will to an unknown location, while their five children remained, authorities added.

“The suspects broke down the door, entered the home and took two adults and fled the scene,” Officer Ricardo Guzman told ABC News. “We found about five minors inside the house, there were no injuries, they were unharmed.”

After the incident, the police questioned the children, who are said to be all under 17 years old, reports local media KSAT 12.

According to ABC News, the children said unknown suspects broke into the home and “forcibly” took their parents away.

As Newsweek reports, the couple was taken from the home and placed in a white SUV. The incident happened in the 3100 block of Mission Bell Street in southwest San Antonio.

Police said the motive for the abduction is unknown and they are still looking for the parents, reports ABC News.
