Frankie Muniz Says He and Agent Cody Banks Costar Angie Harmon Were 'Best Friends' During Filming (Exclusive)

Frankie Muniz fondly remembers the time spent on the set Agent Cody Banks — and the relationships he established along the way.

Muniz — who is “thrilled” to be teaming up with Spirit Airlines to honor his “experience … in the middle” on Malcolm in the middle and promote new company #NotInTheMiddle “Go Comfy” Travel Option — shares that he developed an amazing friendship with actress Angie Harmon while working on the project, a relationship that lasted years after the cameras stopped rolling in 2003.

“I would say some of the people I’ve been closest to … are actually from where Cody Banksme and Angie Harmon were best friends when we were doing the movie,” says Muniz, now 38. “We became so close, even though I was obviously quite a bit younger than her, but we just had so much fun on the set and stayed in touch for a long time then.”

Ultimately, Muniz admits that his “biggest mistake as a human” could be corrected by becoming “a better friend, a better communicator” in general with those around him.

“I’m the type of person who says, ‘Okay, somebody texted me. Oh, great. I’ll call them later,’ or ‘I’ll text them later.’ But then [the phone] you drop and you forget, and then a week later you’re like, ‘Oh shit, I forgot to call them back.’ Either a month later or a year later, and that’s something I want to be better at,” he shares.
