Jackie Howard will face her fair share of trials of the heart as she deals with new love and loss My life with the Walter Boys.
According to the series’ official synopsis, 15-year-old Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) is forced to leave Manhattan after a tragic accident that caused her to lose her parents and move to rural Colorado.
Leaving her “privileged and decent life in New York” behind, she is taken in by her mother’s best friend Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty), who is raising 10 children of her own. Despite the challenges she faces as she “settles into her new, chaotic country home,” Jackie is “determined” to pursue her dreams of attending Princeton University.
The high school student befriends two “very different” Walter boys: “the confident and bookish Alex (Ashby Gentry) and the mysterious and troubled Cole (Noah LaLonde).” Jackie must learn to manage her growing feelings for both brothers while staying true to herself and her dreams.

“My whole life has been in New York,” Jackie says in a voiceover as the city lights fade to country fields. “But now I’m stuck in the middle of nowhere without my family.”
Still reeling from her loss, Jackie tries to settle into her new room as Katherine tries to comfort her through her grief.
“Jackie, I know it’s hard for you to come here and I can’t even imagine what you’ve been going through since the accident,” the mother of ten says before promising to look after her.
A would-be Princeton girl is quickly introduced to the Walter clan, and her new friend at school declares that she has “landed in boys’ heaven” and is “the luckiest girl in this whole school.”

As Alex tries to give her a warm welcome and a firm handshake, the ever elusive Cole rises from the pool as his brother asks him if he wants to meet her. The family dog shakes the water off their swim and submerges Jackie as Cole runs a hand through her hair.
“She’ll figure it out,” he smiles.
The trailer cuts to a scene where Cole promises to teach posh Jackie how to “be a little rough.” The next day at school, the brothers drive off without her as she chases after the car. When a depressed Jackie is pushed to the limit, Alex promises, “Tomorrow will be easier.”

In the next shot, Alex is teaching her how to trust people as she falls on her back in a hay bale. The two share an intimate moment when he takes a piece of straw out of her hair and visibly swallows it.
But Jackie forms another strong bond with Cole, despite the rocky start to their relationship. As two mean girls claim she’s “tightening the market for every guy” and another tells her to “watch out,” Jackie admits she’s not sure she belongs in Colorado before Cole takes her horseback riding.
“It’s like you’re having one of those days where you have to get away,” he says. The two meet eyes before they are interrupted by Alex clearing his throat to ease the tension.
“I’m confused. So do you like Alex or do you like Cole,” her friend asks as Jackie considers her options.

“Are you happy?” Cole asks as a clip of the two of them in a field of wildflowers plays. “This place is like nowhere else in the world, it’s special,” she replies.
Things go a long way between the brothers as they fight for Jackie’s heart. “I don’t want to break my brother’s heart, but I can’t help but want you,” Cole admits.
The series, based on the hit novel WattPad by Ali Novak, will have 10 episodes.
