George and Amal Clooney made a glamorous entrance to Albies.
The power couple looked radiant as they made their way into the ceremony on September 26 in New York, hosted by The Clooney Foundation for Justice, an organization the stars founded in 2016.
George and Amal share with PEOPLE what mutual support means to each other.
“I would support anything my wife is involved in,” George tells PEOPLE while on the red carpet. “She’s always on the right side of history and I’m always so proud to be in the same room with her no matter what, and this is an event where we put all the attention on people who don’t get enough Attention.”
Amal adds, “He’s an incredible advocate and it means a lot to me that we can work together on this work and that he can help bring some of the stories we’re telling tonight to life.”
Responding to his wife’s sweet comments, the actor jokingly tells PEOPLE, “I’m giving her money right now, you can’t see, right behind her back.”

The couple, whose 10th wedding anniversary is on Friday, September 27, also shared their plans.
“I’m taking her somewhere tonight, but she doesn’t know where,” George tells PEOPLE.
The actor (63) appeared in a classic black tailored tuxedo, under which he wore a white shirt and a black bow tie. He completed his look with a pair of black formal shoes.
Amal, 46, complemented her husband perfectly in a floor-length black Versace dress with a modest neckline. She accessorized with diamonds as earrings and a bracelet while carrying a black evening bag.
Her glam is courtesy of Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, from her glowing skin to her bold eye look (which consisted of dramatic lashes achieved with Exagger-Eyes Volume Mascara) to her “Red Carpet Red” lips.

Starting in September 2022, the Clooneys — who will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary on September 27 — continue to shine a light on those who dedicate their lives to justice through the annual A-list event.
Talking to The New York Times last year, George opened up about his partnership with Amal in their humanitarian efforts. “She does all the hard work and the law degree work, and I try to make it loud. I think it’s good teamwork.”

Amal added, “Exposing the problem is a big part of the process, and then we want to be part of the solution.”
Earlier this month, the couple, who have 7-year-old twins Alexander and Ella, attended the film’s premiere at the Venice Film Festival Wolveswhere they hung out with George’s colleague, Brad Pitt and his girlfriend Ines de Ramon.
For the event on September 1, George kept the look classic in a black suit, which he paired with a matching black bowtie and dress shoes.

Amal took a bold approach in summer’s hottest color, butter yellow. Her elegant floor-length dress featured bodice cut-outs, a cascading ruffled skirt and lots of lace. Hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos gave her voluminous hair to match the vibe of her “sunny” makeup.
The day before, the four enjoyed a double dinner at the Venetian restaurant Ristorante Da Ivo, one of George and Amal’s favorite spots in the city.
