Godzilla Minus One Crew Stomps into the 2024 Oscars in the Wildest Academy Awards Shoes Ever

The Godzilla minus one team is pulling out all the stops with their 2024 Oscars look.

On Sunday, the group – which was nominated for the best visual effects – delighted on the red carrier of the Academy Award at Dolby Theater in Hollywood on March 10th. They rocked sleek all-black ensembles, topped off with black pumps sporting monster-hand-shaped heels.

A close-up photo of the shoes reveals all the intricate details of the footwear group. The hands are made of black glittery material, while the nails sparkle in silver.

But there’s an added dose of terrifying fun associated with their outfits: the photos captured Masaki Takahashi, Takashi Yamazaki, Kiyoko Shibuya, and Tatsuji Nojima striking striking poses on the carpet while holding various colored monster figurines, including one gold and one black with blue spikes.

However, it turns out that this is not the first time Godzilla minus one the crew wore their fantastic footwear and figurines. On January 14, Yamazaki, the film’s director, wore similar shoes to the Critics Choice Awards, where the film was nominated for four awards, including Best Science Fiction/Fantasy Film.

On Friday, the group won the Japan Academy Award, winning best picture and seven other awards, including best screenplay.

The 96th Academy Awards will air live on ABC from the Dolby Theater on Sunday, March 10, at 7:00 PM ET.
