The Golden Bachelor contestant Gil Ramirez’s past was revealed.
PEOPLE has obtained documents that claim Ramirez has a history of stalking, and his ex-girlfriend filed a temporary restraining order against him just three months ago. According to a June 11 court filing, which a source close to the show said was just days before production began, the woman who claimed to have dated Ramirez was granted a temporary restraining order citing “harassment – emotional.”
“Despite telling him not to contact me, come to my house – he repeatedly made unwanted contact with me, family members and friends,” she claimed in the domestic violence restraining order, although she clarified that Ramirez was not physically harmed. . “25 attempts per day via phone, messages, videos. Even though he lives an hour away – he’s been showing up at places I frequent to confront me every day.”
The woman then noted that the alleged harassment had been going on for “two weeks so far.”

She asked Ramirez not to contact her and to stay away from her home, workplace, vehicle and her children’s school. The judge issued a temporary restraining order on the same day and scheduled a hearing for July 2.
On July 2, the hearing was adjourned because the warrant could not be served on Ramirez. Because of this, court documents showed that the hearing was scheduled for July 24 and that the temporary restraining order was continued.

Until the next hearing date, the court record shows that the woman was “sworn to testify[d]”, and “the case is dismissed without prejudice for want of prosecution for lack of service.” The temporary restraining order was also lifted.
The source is close The Golden Bachelor tells PEOPLE that “this filing occurred in the short period between the completion of our thorough investigation and the exhaustive vetting process and the start of production.”
The insider added that due to the leaked information, the series “further edited his already limited screen time and minimized it in promotional assets going forward.”
Ramirez appeared one night in Joan Vassos’ season The Golden Bachelor, which aired on Wednesday, September 18. According to his profile, he is a 60-year-old “educator” from Mission Viejo, California.
He received a rose at the end of the episode and will continue until the next week of the show.

She later filed several complaints, obtained by PEOPLE, alleging that Strader violated protective measures and even burned “what appeared to be an actual restraining order” outside her home.
On September 19, Strader spoke out against the allegations: “Recently, there have been challenges from a low point in my past that have been brought up and seriously misconstrued,” he asserted. “The allegations are simply not true as I have never raised my hands inappropriately on another person or treated my ex-girlfriend in any of the ways I have been portrayed.”
