One golden retriever is clearly not a fan of the spooky season.
Earlier this week, a TikTok user named Mandy uploaded a funny video to the social media app in which her pet dog, Monte, can be seen reacting to a set of outdoor Halloween decorations.
Seemingly excited at first in the short clip, Monte climbs the stairs before coming into contact with a group of large skeletons, as well as numerous lamps, which frighten him.
“He’s not a fan of creepy season 👻,” Monte’s owner wrote in the video, adding, “Not right away 🙅🏼♀️,” in the caption of her post.

In the comments section, various users reacted to Monte getting scared and sending love his way.
“Take that baby to Starbucks right now for a puppy cup and take him home,” wrote one user, while another said: “I don’t like it either my friend 🥺.”
Others, meanwhile, stated that the dog’s fear could only be because he is a golden retriever.
“Goldens know evil when they see it 😳💀🥰💛,” said one user, while another jokingly teased, “Goldens are afraid of their own shadow.”
