Gordon Ramsay Throws First Pitch at Red Sox Game Following Hospitalization for 'Really Bad' Biking Accident

Less than a month after being hospitalized for a bike accident, Gordon Ramsay hit the levee to throw the ceremonial first pitch!

The Boston Red Sox enlisted the help of the celebrity chef, 57, on Tuesday, June 25, in a game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park.

Although the Red Sox ended up losing 4-9, the star started the game with enthusiasm, appearing recovered from the accident as he delivered a stellar first pitch.

Rocking a custom “03” jersey, Ramsay waved to the crowd before throwing a baseball to last pitcher Liam Hendriks. Although his shot was a little high, it went over the mound and Hendriks caught it with ease – and, of course, the crowd went wild.

The chef’s visit to Boston comes just over a week after he revealed he was in a “really bad” bike accident — and said he’s “happy to be here.”

In a June 15 video he shared on Instagram, Ramsay said the accident happened while he was riding his bike in Connecticut. He said the incident “really shook me up” and said he had been admitted to hospital for treatment.

Even with children, a short trip, they have to wear a helmet.”
