Gordon Ramsay’s 6 Children: Everything to Know

The only thing Gordon Ramsay and Tana Ramsay love more than spending time together is spending time with their six children.

The couple became parents for the first time in 1998 after welcoming their eldest daughter, Megan Ramsay, 25. Their brood grew to a family of six with the births of fraternal twins, daughter Holly Anna Ramsay and son Jack Scott Ramsay, 23, in 1999; Matilda Ramsay, 22, affectionately called Tilly, in 2001; son Oscar James Ramsay, 4, 2019 (after suffering a miscarriage in 2016); and son Jesse James in 2023.

The birth of the couple’s youngest son, Jesse, came as a surprise to fans of the Ramsay family, who kept Tana’s pregnancy a complete secret.

“It was a nerve-wracking 9 months, but we made it and were blessed with this little bundle,” the mom of six wrote on Instagram. “The Ramsay family definitely complete.”

In September 2023, Gordon, who is known for his sharp demeanor on TV, told PEOPLE that his children “took the emotion” out of him.

“Tana is super fierce, a former Montessori school teacher. So I’m a softie,” he said. Tana added: “He’s, believe it or not, incredibly sensitive – he’s tearful.”

Megan Ramsay, 25

On May 16, 1998, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Megan Ramsay.

As the eldest child of the Ramsay clan, Megan was the first member of the family to earn a college degree. Gordon celebrated the milestone on Instagram, posting a photo of his daughter in her cap and gown in June 2019.

“So proud of this young lady @megan__ramsay our first ever Ramsay to graduate with a @oxfordbrookes degree hard work pays off!” he captioned the photo.

While being the oldest comes with its perks, it also comes with its fair share of awkward moments. In January 2023, Gordon revealed The Kelly Clarkson Show that not only does he think his daughter’s boyfriend is “pathetic” but that their dinner date also fell through.

“He was fine to begin with,” the chef told host Kelly Clarkson of Megan’s boyfriend Byron. “A little wet. A little kind of… you want a man to date your daughter, and he was just, kind of miserable.”

After getting Byron’s phone number from Tilly, Gordon practically intercepted Megan and Byron’s date via FaceTime call, to which Bryon allegedly responded “shaking.”

“I said, ‘Byron, that’s me. Not your future father-in-law, you little bastard!'” Gordon recalled. Megan abruptly ended the call.

“I just want the girls to be looked after and they look out for each other,” Gordon explained of his actions. “You’re always worried about that.”

Holly Anna Ramsay, 23

Gordon became a father again on December 31, 1999, when fraternal twins Holly Anna Ramsay and Jack Scott Ramsay were born.

In May 2021, she launched 21 and over, a podcast dedicated to destigmatizing mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. It also serves as a safe space for her to talk openly and honestly about her mental health journey.

In the podcast, Holly revealed that she was diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety and depression after being sexually assaulted while attending Ravensbourne University, where she was studying fashion design. “I didn’t tell anyone about it until a year after that. I just buried it in a box in the back of my mind,” she told co-host and psychotherapist Talitha Fosh.

“It’s confusing and I’m trying to take control of my story and use it to do something good,” Holly said. Although she has received love and support from her family, she added that “it’s definitely a journey. But I hope that by speaking out, I can help other people.”

In December 2021, the podcaster and influencer celebrated one year of sobriety with a heartfelt post on Instagram. “Today marks one year without alcohol. It’s not something I thought I’d ever say at the age of 21. However, by 21 (almost 22) I never thought I’d go through half of what I have,” she wrote. “I decided to take a break from alcohol because it wasn’t improving my mental health – which is a first for me.”

Gordon commented on the post: “What an amazing young lady and words cannot explain how proud I am of you. I love you so much Dad.”

Jack Scott Ramsay, 23

Jack Scott Ramsay, Holly’s fraternal twin, was also born on December 31, 1999.

In October 2020, Jack joined the Royal Marines of the United Kingdom, a branch of the United Kingdom Navy.

Gordon took to Instagram to celebrate his eldest son’s “incredible achievement”. “I can’t tell you enough how proud I am of this young man,” he said Hell’s kitchen star captioned a carousel of photos of Jack dressed in uniform and posing with his family. “Jack Ramsay, you made me feel like the proudest father today.”

Before joining the Royal Marines, Jack starred in four episodes of British docuseries in 2019. Born famous, which followed “the teenage offspring of some of Britain’s most successful self-made celebrities who get the chance to see how their famous parents lived before fame and excess.” According to his younger brother’s Instagram, Jack also ran in the 2019 London Marathon.

During a joint interview with GQ that same year, Jack shared some of the lessons he learned from his famous father, including the importance of “work hard, play hard.”

“Sometimes I think you work harder, sometimes maybe too much,” he said. “But we spend quality time together. We go for rides and play sports. I think you always strike a balance 100 percent.”

Gordon jokingly interjected, “Also, I work hard because you’re an expensive s—.”

Jack laughed and claimed his sisters were expensive, to which Gordon replied, “You’ve got a bed that’s made out of a freaking car. This Ferrari badge on the front… Ferrari pillows, a Ferrari duvet.”

Matilda “Tilly” Ramsay, 22

Matilda “Tilly” Ramsay was born on November 8, 2001, which happens to be her father’s date of birth.

“I can’t think of a better person to share my birthday with than this lovely and kind young lady @tillyramsay,” Gordon said of his birthday pal on Instagram in November 2021. Tilly echoed the same sentiment in her birthday tribute: “I could I can’t imagine a better person to share this day with.”

That’s not the only thing Tilly has in common with her dad; she also likes to cook and try TikTok challenges with Gordon. At only 15 years old, she published her cookbook with 60 recipes, Download Tilly’s Kitchen.

“[My cooking is] much easier than [my dad’s] because my recipes… if you don’t have one of the ingredients, it’s no big deal,” Tilly said on a British television program This morning in 2017. “But with Dad’s, if you don’t have one of the ingredients, it doesn’t work well. His is a lot pickier.”

From 2015 to 2019, Tilly had her own cooking reality show, Matilda and the Ramsay group, on CBBC. Speaking with Daily mailthe British celebrity chef acknowledged how “good” a cook Tilly is and even went so far as to call her “household number one”.

Tilly also competed in a British competition show Strictly Come Dancing; she and her dance partner were the ninth couple to be eliminated.

Oscar James Ramsay, 4

Gordon and Tana welcomed son Oscar James Ramsay on April 4, 2019. The dad-of-six shared the happy news and photos of himself, Tana and Oscar in hospital on Instagram.

“After 3 Baftas and an Emmy … we finally won an Oscar, say hello to Oscar James Ramsay, who landed at lunch today at 12:58! Xxx,” he captioned the post.

Fans found out they were expecting another child after Gordon shared a video on Instagram with the caption: “Exciting news! Happy New Year from all the Ramsays” on New Year’s Day 2019. The video started with the Ramsay siblings wishing people a Happy New Year before turning to Tana, who was holding her growing baby bump.

Oscar is a rainbow baby, as the couple suffered a miscarriage in 2016, something Tana has been very candid about over the years.

The physical resemblance between Gordon and his youngest is uncanny, and Oscar’s haircut in March 2022 further proved it. The father and son duo are also often photographed in identical sports outfits.

A month earlier, Gordon had jokingly revealed that he planned to turn in his Hell’s kitchen legacy to Oscar. “Hell’s kitchen the host of season 45 spent time on set with the old host today! Welcome to Hell’s kitchen son @oscarjramsay don’t mess up please! Daddy x,” Gordon wrote on Instagram, sharing photos of him and his mini on set.

The youngest member of the Ramsay family, Jesse James, was born in November 2023. Tana and Gordon kept the pregnancy a secret until Jesse’s arrival, which they announced on Instagram.

“What an amazing birthday present, say hello to Jesse James Ramsay, 7lbs 10oz big,” Kitchen nightmares – wrote on Instagram the presenter whose birthday is November 8. “Another package of love to the Ramsay brigade!! 3 boys, 3 girls… Done.”

In December 2023, Tana shared a photo of an adorable newborn on Instagram. “Already a month this little one, loving every minute,” she captioned the post.
