Grammys 2024: Everything to Know About the Star-Studded Ceremony

Music Biggest Night is here!

The 2024 Grammy Awards will be presented Sunday night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles with Trevor Noah as host.

Turntables will be handed out to artists from all genres of music for their achievements over the past year, while a host of A-listers will walk the red carpet, introduce themselves and be taken to the booth for performances.

Who is nominated for the 2024 Grammy Awards?

The stars are set to perform at this year’s Grammys, as several big names battle it out for the awards.

SZA leads the pack with a whopping nine nominations. R&B superstars with the most nominations are followed by Phoebe Bridgers and Victoria Monét, who each received seven nominations. Behind them, the band Bridgers with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, boygenius, received six awards, as did Jack Antonoff, Jon Batiste, boygenius, Brandy Clark, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift.

It’s a fierce competition: SZA was honored for her efforts on her sophomore studio album SOS; Monet will continue his successful year after the release of the film Jaguar II; boygenius will celebrate his acclaimed debut album record; Eilish’s hit “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie continues its awards season reign; Cyrus is gearing up for her first Grammys, thanks to last year’s success Summer vacation without end and his song “Flowers;” Rodrigo received recognition for her beloved sophomore album INTESTINES; and Swift celebrates in 2022 Midnight.

Many of the aforementioned superstars, as well as several other names, will compete for the coveted album of the year award, including Batiste for Radio World Musicboygenius, Cyrus, Lana Del Rey for Did you know there is a tunnel under Ocean BlvdJanelle Monáe for Age of pleasureRodrigo, Swift and SZA.

As for the Best New Artist category, a wide range of exciting rising stars from pop, hip-hop and country will face off: Gracie Abrams, Fred again.., Ice Spice, Jelly Roll, Coco Jones, Noah Kahan, Monét and Rat and contract.

Several other hitmakers such as Doja Cat, Drake, Kelsea Ballerini, Paramore and more are also up for awards.

Who will perform at the 2024 Grammy Awards?

Numerous contemporary icons and music legends are ready to grace the Grammy stage. During the headline act, the list of performers includes Billie Eilish, Billy Joel, Burna Boy, Dua Lipa, Joni Mitchell, Luke Combs, Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, Travis Scott and U2.

Mitchell, who is a nine-time Grammy winner and 18-time nominee, will make her first Grammy performance at this year’s show. The legendary singer-songwriter is fighting for one award in the category of best folk album for her album Joni Mitchell in Newport [Live].

Joel, meanwhile, is not among the nominees, but will take the stage after releasing his first brand new single in years, “Turn the Lights Back On”.

U2 will also be featured in a special performance. For the Irish rock group’s performance, they will hold their first televised performance from the Sphere Las Vegas location where they are in the middle of their U2:UV Achtung Baby Live residency.

Who is hosting the 2024 Grammy Awards?

Trevor Noah will host the awards. Comedian and former presenter Daily show will return to duty, as this year marks his fourth consecutive year as a home run.

Shortly after the news broke that he was returning to the event, he shared how excited he was about it on his What now? With Trevor Noah podcast. “I am the host of the Grammy Awards. I’m excited about it, yes,” he said. “It’s a lot of fun. I enjoy the Grammys because I get to watch the show in person and then experience it in person and comment as it happens.”

Noah also recently spoke with PEOPLE about his hosting duties and what he’s learned over the years. “The first thing I learned is that all your preparations are really just a parachute for what actually happens at night because anything can happen, and every year it kind of does,” he said.

“I’ve also learned that because it’s a celebration of these musicians and what they’ve done, everyone’s there to have fun and have a good time. So, as the host, I’m constantly moving around the room,” Noah continued.

Not only is Noah hosting the event, but he’s nominated for an award himself. The star won the award for the best comedy album I wish you would — marking his second Grammy nomination as his 2020 title Son of Patricia it was also nominated in 2020 in the category of best comedy album.

Who will present at the 2024 Grammy Awards?

Icons from all over entertainment are coming out to perform at this year’s Grammys. Legends Oprah Winfrey and Meryl Streep are among the presenters, as well as comedian Taylor Tomlinson, and musicians such as Christina Aguilera, Lenny Kravitz, Maluma, Lionel Richie, Mark Ronson and last year’s Best New Artist winner Samara Joy.

They say that even more special guests appear.

How to watch the Grammy Awards 2024?

The awards ceremony will be broadcast live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles from 8:00 PM to 11:30 PM ET on CBS. Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers will also be able to stream the event live. Those with only a Paramount+ subscription will be able to tune in the next day.
