Gwyneth Paltrow’s Flattering Dress Just Sold Me on the Striped Style Meghan Markle and Katie Holmes Wear, Too

When you have your girlfriend ia really good clothes, life is good — I don’t make the rules.

But one thing I do make a living from is, well, surviving by covering my favorite celebrity outfits. And today I have to talk about Gwyneth Paltrow. The Goop founder was spotted shopping with Sheryl Berkoff, wife of Rob Lowe, on July 27, and her striped sleeveless dress was just what I’d wear for a hot summer day filled with walking and talking. It was also a nice complement to clingy pants and stiff skirts.

She also slipped on a pair of white sneakers and tossed a canvas bag into the outfit to bring together the laid-back California beach grandma vibe.

Paltrow’s dress could be this $495 Cannes Striped Dress from G. Label by Goop, but I’m not sure I can squeeze that into my monthly budget. But I can plan this maxi dress from Amazon. It features stripes, a breezy, non-clinging silhouette and a slit that shows off some skin.

Not a role model? I’m usually neither, but Paltrow, plus Meghan Markle and Katie Holmes (who wore similar striped dresses last summer) have officially turned me on — and this one is only $25, so I can wear the pattern forever (Paltrow is proof that the stripes stay longer than one season) without burdening me financially.

Paltrow’s white shoes appeared to have contrasting soles, just like these popular Carium Oca Lows. Gabrielle Union recently wore the same pair on the red carpet in a different color, while Brooke Shields traveled in a different style from the brand in March. Add those views with thousands of positive customer reviews and what’s not to love?

Another brand worth checking out is Seavees. Gwyneth even once stated that she is “obsessed” with the brand’s high tops and that they are “so comfortable”. These low-tops, which look more similar to the pair she wore, could be just as comfortable for your legs.
