Halle Bailey Responds to Fans Asking About Her ‘Pregnancy Nose’: ‘Leave Me the Hell Alone’

Halle Bailey is tired of speculation about her personal life.

Little Mermaid The 23-year-old star responded to a fan on Snapchat who commented saying the actress looks like she has a “pregnant nose” in a recent photo.

In response to the comment, Bailey shared a video saying, “Listen, if I ever see one more person say something about my nose, it’s gonna be hell.”

“You know why? Because I’m black. I love my nose,” she continued. “Why are you worrying about my nose? Leave me the hell alone.”

Bailey and boyfriend DDG dated for over a year. The couple became Instagram official in March 2022 when the founder of record label Zooted Music made a post on the R&B singer’s birthday.

Last month, DDG was with Bailey as she was among the talents celebrated on Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London. During her acceptance speech for the Gen Z Game-changer Award and after the ceremony on social media, the actress/singer shared how grateful she is to receive the recognition and how challenging it can be as a public figure.

After being honored by Lashana Lynch and Bailey thanking the “female souls” who paved the way for her to be there, she opened up about her own experience facing the superstars.

“I know that my personal journey, while filled with my own struggles and challenges, sometimes pales in comparison to a lot of what you all have been through,” the “Angel” singer said. “But I also know that with the spotlight comes a responsibility to speak about my experience in the hopes that it can provide some guidance and inspiration to those girls and women who look up to me as I stand under those spotlights.”

Purple The star continued: “It’s been an adjustment to live your life under that spotlight, but in the age of social media in a way, we’re all living under that same lens – from our bodies, how our bodies look to what we wear who we love and stuff that we care about, everything is open to scrutiny.”

“So here’s my honest advice: Turn it off when you need to find inner peace, OK. But also, live your life for yourself,” the R&B hitmaker said. “Don’t waste your time living it up for social media. Everyone has an opinion, but the only opinion that matters is yours, and deep down you already know what’s good for you.”

In May, Bailey opened up to PEOPLE about what life has been like since starting her romance with DDG. When asked if she would call him a real prince, she said: “Yes. I would say that.”

“I think the best thing about young love is that you can continue to find yourself through this journey of loving someone else,” the actress explained. “And you discover new parts of yourself and maybe things you hadn’t noticed before about your heart.”
