Berry said it was an important advocacy issue for her because she didn’t know much about menopause when she was going through it.
“About four years ago, I realized I was in perimenopause and I thought I was going to miss it,” she said. “That’s what I thought—I knew so little about it.”
“I realized that if I know so little about it, millions of other women don’t need to know anything either because I pride myself on having the best doctors,” she continued. “I take my health seriously and I didn’t know anything, so it lit a fire in me to help myself and as I help myself, I know I’m helping millions.”
