Hilarie Burton Says She's 'Proud' to Be 'Youngest Woman' in the Gray Hair Club: 'In the Best Company'

Gray hair, don’t care!

That rings true for Hilarie Burton Morgan.

The actress and writer, 42, who has been rocking her naturally gray hair for years, shared an Instagram Reel created by @styledbyfrancescacairns. In the video, creator Francesca highlights celebrities with gray hair, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jane Fonda and Burton Morgan himself.

The reel was titled “How to Style Gray Hair,” and Burton Morgan shared it on her Instagram Stories, writing, “In the BEST company here and proud to be the youngest woman in the Gray Club.”

The mother-of-two, who is married to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, has openly said that her hair turned gray at a young age. In October last year, she appeared in one episode View and she candidly told co-host Joy Behar that she embraces the color and lets it come in naturally.

“It’s a weird thing when you’ve been an actress in a teen drama, and the expectation that you’re going to be 17 is there forever,” she said of where she is in her life and accepting aging. “And I didn’t necessarily love my younger years. I was dealing with some dark things in my younger years. So that idea that you can go to a higher level and get to where you’re cute in the room was exciting to me.”

“And my heroes were Bea Arthur and Ruth Gordon and Betty White,” she added. “I wanted to be like that. So going gray early was a relief.”

“Well you’re trendy, a lot of women are doing it,” he said View the host told Burton Morgan, who replied, “Well, yeah. We will take over the world.”

“I’m going to do it with this color,” said Behar, 80, referring to her hair color. “I will conquer the world with this color.”

“All kinds are needed,” replied Burton Morgan.
