Will there be sequels to ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’?

Director Wes Ball said the team wanted to look at the franchise in different ways and potentially leave the door open for more sequels.

“We don’t want to be presumptuous. It depends on the film gods whether this film will be successful,” said the director Entertainment Weekly. “But we certainly think there is much more to tell, not only in Monkey planet the legacy of everything, but in terms of these characters that we’ve created and the arcs that we’re thinking about. So yeah, we have good ideas for what’s next.”
