The BBC comedian connected with him in 2020, and got married in the summer.

Miranda, 51, reveals the news in her new book I Haven’t Been Entirely Honest With You, but does not name her new husband.
After telling how they met, she wrote: “He’s not my boyfriend. He is my husband.
“We got married when I was fifty-one.”
It comes 15 years after the launch of her BBC sitcom Miranda, which featured a running gag about her mum desperate for her to hook up.

The star got engaged in January during a visit to Kew Gardens in west London after realizing she and her new partner had “fallen hopelessly in love with each other”.
She recalls: “We were standing quietly on the bridge overlooking the lake when the silence fell as he said quite seriously, ‘Miranda’.
“I turned around and he got down on one knee. ‘Miranda…’
“I don’t remember anything else because I just burst into tears, apparently saying yes before he finished his sentence (awkward that he was tying the laces…).
“I didn’t think a traditional proposal would affect me like that.
“But there was someone who knew all my ridiculousness and brokenness and was still willing to bend down, look up and commit to loving me and being by my side for the rest of my life.”

In the book, she reveals that she fought a debilitating battle with Lyme disease, which was exacerbated by mold found in her home days before the first shutdown of 2020.
This meant she was forced to move out of the property in Hampshire, before the spores were removed by the project manager, who later became her husband.
She reveals they bonded over socially distanced dates over cups of tea as quarantine eased.
