A VIDEO of a woman’s dress went viral after the fabric created the illusion that her waistline instantly disappeared when she pulled the laces.
Plus-size influencer Olivia decided to see if the dress would make her waist slimmer, and the result was more ripped.

With two threads pulled, TikTok user @jemianxo looked like her waist had been cut on one side.
The colorful stripes and strokes on Shein’s $13 Brush Front Headpiece Dress were magical.
Even without the built-in sashes, the dress cinched dramatically at Jemian’s waist.
And his five-second video was all viewers needed to see to make them want to buy it.
Creator of great fashion tastes, Olivia couldn’t wait to get her hands on one of these illusory dresses.
She posted a video of herself trying on Fashion Nova’s version of the viral dress to see if it had the same effect on her.
Olivia bought the Mind Of My Own maxi dress for $39.99.
“Let’s see it in 3x size,” she says.
Olivia takes the laces from both sides of the dress and crosses them over each other.
When she joins the two, her waist is trapped below.
However, the deep black and brown strokes on her sides make her waist look even slimmer than it really is.

Viewers were in shock and awe as they watched Olivia’s body transform into an hourglass figure.
“Absolutely gorgeous,” one woman wrote, while another commented: “You look amazing.”
Some viewers were skeptical, thinking that the dress was not the same as Jemian’s.
“I think you need a black background for it to work,” said the reviewer.
Another commenter noted, “People need to understand that if you have a completely different body shape… you’re going to get completely different results. It’s not rocket science.”
