‘I tried to be good’…heartbreaking last words of girl, 8, killed by brainwashed mum & her ‘wicked’ lover in evil plot

Starving at just three stone and covered in horrific bite marks and burns, little Ayesha Ali scribbled “I tried to be good” on a piece of paper.

While other children her age were playing in the sun during the summer holidays, the eight-year-old was locked up and tortured.

Her mother Polly Chowdhury was “bewitched” by neighbor Kiki Muddar, who convinced her lover that Ayesha was evil.

Using the fantasy world of selfish alter egos, Muddar convinced Chowdhury to kick her husband out and let her move in.

Once her foot was in the door of the family home in Chadwell Heath, east London, the monster’s sole purpose became to make Ayesha’s life a “living hell”.

Now as we revisit one of the most harrowing cases to hit Britain, we delve into the months leading up to her death, during which the girl was subjected to “a life of cruelty and misery that defies belief”.

Muddar and Chowdhury would torture the girl in the dead of night while wearing “vile masks” in a punishment straight out of a horror movie.

She was heard screaming, sobbing and begging her mom: “Amah, I don’t want to be bad, Amah, Amah, I don’t want to be bad.”

The evil couple also made her write a list of things she had done wrong, which included “breathing and cleaning”, “telling lies” and “being rude”.

Their despicable actions became more violent when Muddar convinced her partner that Ayesha had “bad blood” and needed to be punished.

The girl was forced to stand in cold baths, beaten, bitten and force-fed until she became ill.

Muddar fueled the horror in chilling messages, telling her lover: “You have no right to ever love or be loved by your evil daughter.”

She was also recorded in a chilling call in which she described how she was going to “freaking kill” a little girl she labeled a “witch”.

Muddar kept her ominous promise on August 29, 2013, when Ayesha was found dead at home with 56 different injuries – including bruises all over her body and a carpet burn.

Disgustingly, the child even had his mother’s bite mark on his tiny three-stone frame after Chowdhury and Muddar became obsessed with vampires.

But Chowdhury wasn’t always the evil monster she became and was even described as the “perfect mother” before the horror.

A disturbing chain of events unfolded in 2007 when Muddar moved into the family’s house next door.

Mom became enmeshed in a fantasy world while Muddar used creepy alter egos to seduce Chowdhury.

She pretended to be a Muslim ghost called Skyman and Jimmy – a paranormal lover – to send more than 40,000 messages to her neighbour.

Mom became convinced that Muddar was a conduit for Jimmy and that sex with her would be like the Hollywood hit movie Ghost.

Muddar also made Chowdhury believe that her husband, Ayesha’s dad Asfar Ali, was cheating and should be kicked out.

After she moved in, the couple’s relationship developed around a “sad-masochistic” fantasy world.

The alter-ego created by Muddar started entering Chowdhury’s head – telling her that Ayesha should be punished and that she was evil.

One message from “Skyman” read: “Your daughter may be in pain.”

In the days leading up to the murder, Muddar and Chowdhury repeatedly beat the student.

The night before she died, Ayesha was beaten with a shower head and then suffocated in a gruesome attempt to “put her out of her misery”.

I watched as the killer’s gruesome plan was exposed in court – there were no tears or remorse

By Holly Christodoulou, Digital Court Editor

I had only been a reporter for a little over a year when I was sent to Chadwell Heath to cover Ayesha’s murder.

All that was told to the media at the time was that the body of a young girl had been discovered in the house and that a 34-year-old woman had been arrested.

Neighbors confirmed that the suspect was Polly Chowdhury, but also revealed that the other woman had been taken away by the police.

But who the woman was remained a mystery until – after hours of digging – I learned that her name was Kiki Muddar and that she had moved in about four months before the tragedy.

Of course, at this stage I was not aware of how it was connected to the horror that had been revealed in that house.

The gruesome revelation came almost two years later as the evil pair sat separated by security in the dock at the Old Bailey.

Crammed into tiny press seats among fellow journalists, we all sat in shock as the real horror began to unfold.

We learned that after searching 40,000 messages, 140,000 lines of text, 1,450 voice recordings and 17,000 pages of Facebook messages, police discovered how Muddar seduced Chowdhury.

Using a series of self-serving aliases, she not only convinced her mom to end the marriage and let Muddar move in, but also convinced her own Ayesha that she was “evil.”

This sinister motive caused the mother to turn a blind eye as she was brutally abused by her lover – sometimes even joining in with the twisted punishments that Muddar handed out.

Unfortunately, we weren’t the only ones who discovered what happened to Ayesha for the first time in court.

The girl’s father Asfar Ali was a witness during the case, meaning he was not told about his daughter’s last moments in advance.

Faced with the “sorrow of life”, he wept for his “beautiful” daughter from the public gallery.

Chowdhury also broke down as she admitted that she was drawn into a web of fraud.

But the cowardly Muddar refused to testify and never shed a single tear.

She also showed no remorse and remained emotionless as the verdict was handed down in a sign of just how “evil” she truly was.

Creepily, she popped out after killing a young girl to buy a replacement head.

Muddar later called 999 to report that Chowdhury had tried to kill herself in the bath and that Ayesha was dead.

When paramedics found her naked and beaten on the floor of her bedroom, they discovered that she had been killed some time ago.

Muddar and Chowdhury tried to blame each other for the horror, but were convicted of manslaughter.

The two, who were acquitted of murder, were both sentenced to a total of 31 years in prison in March 2015.

Chowdhury later recounted how she became convinced that harming Ayesha would “prevent the gates of hell from opening”.

But tragically it had already happened when she invited the evil Muddar into her bed.
