Ileana was born on November 1, 1987 in Mahim, Mumbai, India. Her family and friends called him Illu. When she was ten years old, her family moved from Mahim, Mumbai to Pala, Goa. She joined the modeling industry at the suggestion of her mother’s then-manager. Indian producer Rakesh Roshan first saw her talent in an advertisement and helped land her her first major role. Due to her hard work, she achieved success in a short period of time. She is also the first Indian actress in the South Indian film industry to receive a salary of Rs. She studied at St. Xavier’s High School in Mapusa, Goa and graduated from Bombay University, Mumbai. She started modeling when she was 16 and, she says, her first portfolio was by Marc Robinson, which was a disaster. She has since walked the ramp for several popular fashion designers. In 2005, she joined Aruna Bikshu Acting School in Hyderabad, Telangana to develop her acting skills. She made her film debut in 2006, playing the lead role of Bhanumati in the Telugu film Devadasu.
