WITH her property knowledge and ultra-glamorous looks, Laura Hamilton has helped make A Place In The Sun one of Channel 4’s most watched programmes.
And since joining the hit series in 2012, the 42-year-old has become a fan favourite, attracting over 200,000 followers on Instagram, with one recent bikini photo receiving more than 11,000 likes.

But it wasn’t just the adulation that was positive – some fans just won’t believe her glamorous looks didn’t help.
The mum-of-two, who is back on our screens for new series A Place In The Sun, says that although she feels better than ever after years of struggling with her body confidence, the trolls just don’t want to lie about it.
Laura told the Sun: “It’s really hard when you read comments like, ‘Oh, she’s done too much to her face.’
“And I think these are my cheekbones. I didn’t do anything to my cheekbones.

“That’s my face and, unfortunately, that’s how it is. Or people say, ‘Oh, she’s got fake tits.’ And I’m like, I’m not really. But if that’s what people want to believe.”
She adds: “It’s kind of funny for people to make statements and not know the facts.”
Plus, she thinks that as she’s gotten older, she’ll be able to deal with trolls because “the older you get, I think you generally feel better.”
He adds: “I feel happier in myself and more confident in myself and who I am.”
“You will always get criticism from someone or them who doesn’t like you, or they will mention that you have big tits, or small tits, or big legs, or fat legs, or like short legs or long legs… never you can please everyone, but the only person you have to please and care about is yourself.
“And as long as you’re happy with yourself, then that should be the only thing that matters.

“Those who are very close to me, who know me, for me, my mom and dad and children, and I’m very lucky to have a close group of friends who support me, who accept and love each other because of who we are, and they know the truth .
“And that’s really the most important thing.”
The former children’s TV presenter, who has been buying and selling houses since she was 19, previously admitted she once considered having her breasts reduced to a 28FF after years of back pain and being teased for her larger bust – before changing her mind.
The star admits she’s getting collagen injections every day now that she’s in her 40s, and recently lost a stone.

She says: “I get gold collagen injections every day and I ran the London Marathon for WellChild in April. I’d never run a marathon before. I’m not someone who’s ever liked long distance running, to be honest, but I love fitness and I love being active.
“I’ve never smoked. I have an occasional drink and I think I lead a pretty healthy lifestyle in general. Although I felt like I had a lot of smoke yesterday because I ate a lot at a meeting and then came home and had a dirty Indian takeaway, so that I definitely have moments like that.”
She continues: “But since I did the London Marathon I decided to try and lose a stone, not a lot but I think it’s all about how you feel about yourself and how your clothes fit. And I was kind of starting to feel a bit ‘meh’.
“So I lost a stone, but I followed a program, which was a high-protein, low-carb diet, and that’s what I did. I ate every three hours, and it kind of works for me.”

Laura has two children, son Rocco (10) and nine-year-old daughter Tahlia with her ex-husband, insurance broker Alex Goward (43).
The presenter is believed to have been dating married executive James Pettigrew, 44, since January.
And James, who is divorcing his wife, clearly can’t keep his hands off Laura – the pair were recently snapped kissing in the front seat of a car during a break from filming in Spain.
It is her first relationship since splitting from husband Alex of 10 years in 2022 – and Laura admitted she is “constantly on the move” as she juggles work commitments and her children.
She also recently bought her first property abroad – a major renovation project.
Laura immediately snapped up a six-bedroom townhouse in Pollensa, Mallorca.
Laura says: “I’m like that when it comes to property, I look at so many houses all the time. I’ve been renovating houses since I was 19, so when you know something’s good, you know something’s right.

“I’ve always loved Mallorca and I’ve always kind of said, if I personally shopped anywhere, I’d want to shop in Mallorca, so I did.
“I was there filming and I had the afternoon off. I was looking at the property online and then I went to see a couple in person and the second time I walked in I was like, ‘this is it.’ I’m going to grab him.’”
Laura, who will be sharing her renovation journey on a new platform called My Renovation In The Sun, adds with a smile: “I love buying a dilapidated wreck and turning it into something beautiful.”
Break off the old block
It looks like the star might have some competition as her son is apparently a budding real estate developer.
Laura explains: “Last week my children were with me while I was filming near Barcelona and I have someone who travels with me a lot.
“Her name is Shelley and she helps me with the kids. I came back from filming and she said, ‘You’re not going to believe what Rocco said this afternoon. He was talking about what he’s going to do in the future.’ ‘
“And she said his idea was genius. He plans to build a water sports center on the beach, but initially he would have no money, so he would have to sleep on the beach until he earns money from work.
“And once he earned money from his work, he would buy an apartment that was dilapidated, and then he would do his work there. He would try to make as much as he could himself, try to save some money, and then sell it.
“She said, ‘He’s your son. He’s listening to you talk about renovating this and that.’ I guess kids pick things up.”
