As wildfires continue to rage through Los Angeles, people are finding new ways to show their gratitude to the people fighting on the front lines.
When a fire crew from the Los Angeles County Fire Department stopped by the area’s In-N-Out Burger for hot food this week, patrons stopped by to thank them for their hard work fighting deadly fires, according to a TikTok user @chavo1021.
In the video – which has amassed nearly 3 million views since it was shared on Friday, January 10 – virtually the entire restaurant, customers and employees alike, could be seen cheering and clapping loudly for the uniformed group as they entered the premises.
“Thanks!” shouted a voice as the crew continued to arrive, some of them smiling in response to the enthusiastic In-N-Out crowd.

“Thanks for your hard work 🔥🔥🔥,” the video caption read, along with several hashtags – including “#hero”.
This sentiment was also echoed in the comments on the video, where users expressed their gratitude to the fire crew and acknowledged how devastated they must have been.
“They are tired and exhausted 😭😭,” one person wrote, while another added: “Those meals better be fresh for their hardworking heroes.”
Elsewhere online, California attorney Jennifer Holliday shared a similar experience, posting several photos of a group of firefighters who stopped at In-N-Out for a bite to eat in a Jan. 9 Instagram post.

Elsewhere online, California attorney Jennifer Holliday shared a similar experience, posting several photos of a group of firefighters stopping at In-N-Out for a bite to eat in a Jan. 9 Instagram post.
Along with a compilation of photos, including a picture of a fire engine parked in a burger joint and a photo of a fire crew enjoying food, she shared her experience in the heartfelt caption.
“I have to thank the dozen or so firefighters at @innout – they wore clothes and boots covered in soot and dirt, quickly ate and stripped,” Holliday wrote. “I’m so grateful to them and the businesses that offer them a meal and a place to breathe and rest.”

The burger chain also thanked LA firefighters in its own post and revealed it is providing free meals to those on the front lines.
“Thank you to the brave men and women who work tirelessly and put their lives on the line for our communities! We appreciate you!” wrote the In-N-Out Instagram account in a Jan. 10 post. “And to those who have lost so much, our hearts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.”
And in another post, the chain shared photos of firefighters and other first responders enjoying its burgers and wrote: “Words cannot express our gratitude for the fearless firefighters who continue to risk their lives to save the communities we’ve been a part of for so long.”

We can never thank you enough.”
Fueled by strong winds and fed by dry vegetation, fast-growing wildfires in LA began on Tuesday, January 7, sending the city’s citizens scrambling for safety.
Thousands of structures have since been affected by the devastating fires — already the most destructive firestorm in the city’s history — and there have been at least 11 deaths so far, according to LA County Medical.
