Rachael Ray has stayed as busy as ever nearly a year and a half after her long-running show ended.
The TV host and chef, 56, appeared in good spirits at the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival during her annual Burger Bash event on Oct. 18. She worked the stage while hosting with her husband John Cusiman and announced the winners of the competition.
Ray also took over hosting duties at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival Burger Bash in February. And in June, she and Cusimano stepped out at Animal League America’s 2024 North Coast Rescue Celebration in New York, where they posed for photos with Howard and Beth Stern.

Rachael Ray took to the stage at the Burger Bash event before revealing she had ‘a few bad falls’
However, Ray revealed in her new podcast, I’ll sleep when I’m deadrecently raised concerns about her health.
“I really like housework,” Ray said in the first episode, which aired on October 22. “I like what people consider manual labor. I love making dinner, planning dinners, making lists. I like physical work, helping to carry wood.”

“I’ve had a few nasty falls in the last few weeks, so I haven’t done that in a while,” she continued.
In September, some fans commented on Raya’s condition in a video posted on her Instagram account. She recalled hosting Tony Bennett for dinner. Ray said she made the late singer’s favorite dish, ossobuco, but “almost killed him” when his chair slipped under him on her polished floors.

That same month, Ray shared on Instagram that she was “spending more time in Italy,” and last summer she continued to share snaps from various Italian destinations, such as a sunset on the Tuscan island of Elba and Cusimano’s birthday party in Puglia.
The couple lives in New York, has an apartment in New York and an upstate home in Lake Luzerne that they rebuilt after it was destroyed in a major fire in August 2020.

In 2024, her production company, Free Food Studios, partnered with A&E Networks to bring “into the kitchen” content and new shows from Ray and other talent over the next two years.
Ray told PEOPLE in January that she “doesn’t do very well with breaks” — which she shares I’ll sleep when I’m dead.
“I like to work. I love it. I love that my brain is very active, and if I’m not writing shows, I’m drawing ‘food,’ as I call them—recipes on paper—and writing books and stuff,” she said. “I don’t like to be idle. I was never good at it.”
