James Franco, Mike Tyson and Bella Thorne Team Up for Italian Superhero Movie Bunny-Man

James Franco, Mike Tyson and Bella Thorne agree Man-bunny.

The trio are among the cast members of an upcoming Italian superhero film, according to a report from Deadline.

Andrea Iervolino (Ferrari) is set to produce and star as Bunny-Man, while the cast will also include Michele Morrone (365 days), Franco Nero (Django) and Ana Golja (Degrassi), per socket.

Man-bunny follows “an anonymous multimillionaire superhero who attacks evil forces while wearing a rabbit mask,” according to the synopsis he released Deadline.

“He is driven by the desire to avenge his sister, who committed suicide after being attacked, whose pictures ended up on the Internet,” the media added.

In the statement he received DeadlineEmanuele Moretti, CEO of production company Motus Studios, said: “We strongly believe in the commercial potential Man-bunny; we really think it can start a very unique independent superhero saga.”

“I believe Man-bunny will revolutionize the way we think about superheroes,” Iervolino said, according to the outlet. “This character embodies both mystery and modernity, not only in his story, but also in how audiences relate to him.”

“It is a privilege to produce the first Italian superhero franchise and I am confident that it will leave a lasting impact on the global market,” he added.

Tyson (58) has already completed the work on his part, and the production is starting Man-bunny is currently underway in Italy, Deadline reports, adding that most of the film will be shot virtually.

The film marks another comeback project for Franco, who recently revealed what it was like to go from beloved star to Hollywood outcast after five women, four of whom were his acting students, accused him of sexual misconduct. (The 46-year-old actor settled a lawsuit with two women in 2021.)

Speaking with Diversity in October ahead of the premiere of his film at the Rome Film Festival Hey Joe, Franco said: “I mean, it is what it is. I’ve been through it honestly. It’s been dealt with and I have to change. So that’s it, it’s over. I mean, I’ve worked in the US too .so I’m just trying to move on .”

The Pineapple Express The star also told the outlet that it’s “painful” to be “told you’re bad,” continuing, “But ultimately, that’s what I needed to just stop going the way I was going.”

“So now, after a break and, I think, a change in priorities, I’m figuring out what I’m looking for to fulfill me in life [is different]”, Franco added.
