Javed Khan Amrohi is an Indian film and television actor, known for his roles in the Hindi films Once Upon a Time in India (2001), Andaz Apna Apna (1994) and Chak De! India (2007). He has appeared in more than 150 Bollywood films. He died in Mumbai on February 14, 2023 due to respiratory illness.

Javed Khan Amrohi was born on Thursday, March 24, 1949 in Bombay, Maharashtra (age 73; time of death). He graduated from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He started his acting career by appearing in many supporting roles. He is also a theater artiste and has acted in many theater shows in Mumbai.

Javed died on February 14, 2023, at Surya Nursing Home in suburban Mumbai, where he had been receiving treatment for respiratory problems since 2022. He died of lung failure. His death was confirmed by his fellow filmmaker Ramesh Talwar, saying:

Javid suffers from a respiratory condition and has been bedridden for the past year. He is undergoing treatment at Surya Nursing Home. He died in hospital due to double lung failure around 1 p.m. ”

  • Javed was last seen playing the role of Pakya in the film Sadak 2 (2020).
