Age and health problems of Jeff Burton
Burton announced to his listeners in March 2021 that he had prostate cancer, explaining that he was diagnosed after a routine blood test showed his PSA levels were rising. He said he had another checkup a few months later and his PSA was still rising.
Rizzuto recently updated the public on Burton’s condition. He also said that Burton recently had to go in and out of the program because he had to use the restroom during his performances. Rizzuto said,
“He came and went. He sent me a few messages while we were on the air, saying things like, “I’m being rejected, I have to hurry to the bathroom.”
In a social media post, Jeff’s wife, Julie, reported that doctors at Missouri Baptist worked hard to stabilize him and that during that time he had received two blood transfusions, as well as a platelet transfusion. Although his health was gradually improving, his blood levels were abnormal and the malignant tumor was clearly taking its toll on his body. Rizzuto said he’s hoping for a miracle for Jeff. Patrico noted that Jeff had worked in radio for a long time and had grown up listening to Jeff.
