Jehan Daruvala is an Indian racing driver. He competes in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Prema Racing. In 2011, he became one of the three winners of the 2011 One in a Billion Hunt arranged by the Force India F1 team, after which he became an apprentice with the team. On June 20, 2022, Jehan shared that he had the opportunity to drive last year’s Formula 1 car, the McLaren MCL35. In 2022, he was fortunate enough to test an F1 car for the first time at Silverstone in the UK on June 21-22, 2022.

Jehan Daruvala was born on Thursday, October 1, 1998, in Mumbai (age 23; as of 2022). He attended Bombay Scottish School in Mahimsi, Mumbai. Jehan has been interested in racing since he was a child. In 2011, at the age of thirteen, he started his kart driving career and participated in many kart races. Karting champion and Rayo Racing owner Rayomand Banajee discovered Jehan’s racing potential and talent. He coached Jehan and laid a solid foundation for his successful career.

Jehan is in a relationship with Maia Shroff. Jehan and Maia have reportedly been dating since 2014 and have been very public about it on social media. According to her Linkedin profile, in 2019 she started working as a marketing executive at Nykaa Fashion and held that position for a year and a half before joining Barcode Entertainment: Strategic Brand Solutions and responsible for junior client services. In 2021, she launched her own swimwear line called Papaaya Swimwear.

Jehan first competed in the Karting Championship in 2011 and went on to win the 2012 Asia Pacific Championship and the 2013 Super 1 National Championship, as well as earning berths in other competitions held in Asia and Europe.
Formula Renault European Cup 2.0
In 2015, he progressed to single-seater racing with Fortec Motorsport in the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC and Formula Renault 2.0 Alpine championships. Based on his performance, he finished fifth in the Nordic Cup. He competed as a guest driver in the European Cup and Alpine Series. The following year he took pole position for the first race and finished on the podium in the second race. In Hungary he won his first Nordic Cup.
Toyota Racing Series
In 2016, he competed in the Toyota Racing Series. Three wins and three podiums saw him beat Lando Norris to become vice-champion. The following season in 2017 he became the driver with the most pole positions, winning twice. The title race was fierce and he finished fifth.
European Formula 3 Championship
2017
In November 2016, he spoke of his ambition to compete in the European Formula 3 Championship next year. In December 2016, he signed with Carlin Motorsport to race. In the 2017 championship, he placed sixth. In the same year, he also participated in the 2017 Macau Grand Prix and finished tenth.
2018
He also stayed with Carlin in the 2018 season. He finished third in the third race of the opening weekend of the Pau Grand Prix. His only victory this year came in the first race of the Spa-Francorchamps round. He competed again in the 2018 Macau Grand Prix and finished 12th.
GP3 series
He joined the MP Motorsport team for the 2018 Yas Marina GP3 finale. He finished 26th in the competition.
FIA Formula 3 Championship
In 2019, Daruvala competed in the inaugural season of the Formula 3 championship for Prema Powerteam. He competed in 16 races and won two of them. He finished third in the championship.
Asian Formula 3 Championship
In 2021, he represented Mumbai Falcons India Racing Limited in the championship held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He competed in 15 races and won 3 of them. His overall performance and 192 points put him firmly in third place in the team standings.
FIA Formula 2 Championship
2020
In February 2020, Daruvala rejoined the Carlin Motorsport team to compete in the 2020 FIA Formula 2 Championship. He was named Red Bull Junior in this championship. He competed in 24 games but won only one. He finished 12th in the championship.
2021
In 2021 he returns to the championship and continues with the same Motorsport team Carlin. He competed in 23 races and won 2 of them, thus finishing seventh.
2022
In January 2022, he reunited with the Prema Racing team to compete in the 2022 championship. After 12 races, he did not win any of them, but the number of podiums and points earned placed him third in the championship.

- Jehan is the first Indian to win the New Zealand International Grand Prix, an annual racing event held in New Zealand. He won the race in 2017 driving a Tatuus FT-50 Toyota.

- In an interview, when talking about his feelings after having the opportunity to test the McLaren MCL35, the 2021 Formula One championship car, he said:
I had never driven a Formula 1 car before. This test was for me to get to know the car and its characteristics and find its limits. My goal is to win the F2 championship and hopefully I do well enough that my name will be there. ”
