Jeremy Renner Reveals the Go-to Breakfast He Likes to Make for Daughter Ava, 10 (Exclusive)

Jeremy Renner’s daughter goes out for a meal in the morning.

In an exclusive chat with PEOPLE while filming his new Super Bowl ad for Silk, the 53-year-old actor describes one meal he likes to make for breakfast for his 10-year-old Ava Berlin.

“She’s a waffle girl. She definitely loves her waffles,” says Renner — who shares Ava with ex Sonni Pacheco. “That’s pretty much what he’ll eat in the morning.”

As for whether his pre-teen self will ever add toppings like chocolate chips to her waffles, the Marvel star notes, “Maybe sometimes. Not all the time. Every once in a while, on weekends with my cousins.”

In her upcoming Silk Super Bowl ad, Renner dances, jumps and fights her way through a very important task: making breakfast for Ava.

“It’s her first job ever! [We] put her to work early,” the falcon’s eye star jokes about his real-life daughter’s choice.

For Renner, the opportunity to partner with Silk for the company’s first Game Day ad was a no-brainer because he’s a fan of the plant-based milk brand and used it to make protein shakes while recovering from a snowmobile accident in 2023.

“[Silk is] all about wellness, and I got pretty into it because it was forced on me as part of the lifestyle, which is great,” he says. “Now I have become so healthy.”

Jeremy Renner’s daughter Ava: Everything he said about being a dad

Back in January 2023, Renner broke more than 30 bones and underwent multiple surgeries after being run over by a plow while helping his nephew pull a stuck vehicle out of the snow on his property in Reno, Nevada, on New Year’s Day.

Earlier this month, he expressed his love for his daughter via an Instagram post, describing her as the “number one reason” for his recovery from the ordeal.

“I asked her to ‘wait for me’ when I first saw her on January 14 when I got home,” Renner said. “As I got better, she got better, she was less afraid. There’s just no better motivator for recovery than your family and friends getting better.”

“With gratitude always, thank you all for your love and support this past full year,” added the Oscar-nominated star. “I needed every ounce of good will and prayer 🙏🏼.”
