Jerry Seinfeld's 3 Kids: All About Sascha, Julian and Shepherd

Jerry Seinfeld may not have on-screen children in a semi-fictional sitcom Seinfeldbut in real life, he is the proud husband of Jessica Seinfeld and the father of three successful children: Sascha, 23, Julian, 21, and Shepherd, 18.

However, Jerry was not exactly a “natural” when his first child was born. “He wasn’t pushing strollers and carrying babies right away,” Jessica said Parents magazine in 2020. “He jokes that it took him a good 10 years to warm up.”

“He travels often and usually over the weekend, so a lot of early babysitting, sports and activities are left to me,” she added.

However, when the couple’s children were in their teens, Jerry found his support as a father and role model.

“Jerry’s strength is now, with our three teenagers,” Jessica said. “He’s patient with them. Where I’m weaker, he’s stronger, we complement each other. I wouldn’t change anything.”

Jessica and all three kids were there to support Jerry at the premiere of his new Netflix movie, Unfrozenin April 2024. The whole family posed for photos together on the carpet after they arrived.

Here’s everything you need to know about Jerry Seinfeld’s three children.

Jerry and Jessica’s oldest child, Sascha Betty, was born on November 7, 2000 in New York. “Both parents and baby are doing great,” Seinfeld’s rep told the Associate Press at the time.

Years later, Sascha celebrated her bat mitzvah, which took place two weeks after her 13th birthday, Hey! News reported. Many of her parents’ famous friends were in attendance, including George Stephanopoulos and Andy Cohen.

When she was 15, Jerry taught Sasha how to drive – or rather, how to drive a manual transmission.

“I taught my daughter to drive a stick,” Jerry told PEOPLE at an event in April 2016. She learned on an “old beat up Land Rover with a stick,” he continued. “I was very proud of her. Being a car guy, I want my daughter to drive a stick.”

In 2019, Sascha graduated from The Chapin School, an independent day school for girls located on the Upper East Side of New York.

Jessica marked that day with a post on Instagram. “Congratulations to all the participants of 2019, but especially to our first born child, 😻 Sasha Betty Seinfeld,” she wrote in the caption. “😻We are so proud to be your parents.”

Four years later, Sascha graduated from Duke University.

While in college, Sascha helped write the skit for the first episode of Season 5 Inside Amy Schumer. Jessica took to Instagram to express how proud she was of her daughter, and Sascha retweeted the news on her Instagram Story, writing that she was “honoured” to be a part of an “amazing” season.

Shortly before Jerry taught Sasha to drive, he and the rest of the Seinfeld family celebrated Julian’s bar mitzvah, an occasion Jessica jokingly called “Jew-Chella.”

“We had Jew-Chella which means Friday night service, Saturday service, Saturday night rager and then Sunday morning brunch with my family,” Jessica told PEOPLE. “We had a wild party in New York where people from 70 to 5 were on the dance floor for five hours straight. It was so much fun!”

According to Julian’s LinkedIn profile, he attended Ethical Culture Fieldston School, a private independent school in New York, graduating in May 2021.

Thank you all for working so hard during the pandemic and personally opening up the possible.”

Following in his sister’s footsteps, Julian is now studying at Duke University to earn a degree in sociology. He is expected to graduate in 2025.

“I love having a family and kids and all that craziness,” Jerry told Parade in 2010. “There’s not one aspect of it that I don’t like. Even when it’s horrible, I love it. I didn’t realize how tired I was of being single.” and how ready I was for married life.”

In 2022, the family of five reunited on vacation in Italy, where Jessica shared rare photos of Shepherd, Sascha and Julian on Instagram. “We are all reunited after too many months apart,” she captioned one of the photos taken in Capri, Italy.

Jerry and Jessica moved Shepherd into his dorm at Duke University in August 2024.

“All 3 little birds have flown away. I hope that all of you who are making it for the first or last time are doing well,” wrote the author of the cookbook on Instagram.
