Jessie J Reveals She's Not a 'Beige' Mom as She Showcases Son Sky's New, Colorful Playroom

Jessie J colorfully remodeled her son’s playroom.

On Monday, the “Price Tag” singer (35) shared a photo of the new playroom she designed for her 9-month-old son Sky Safir on her Instagram Story. The room is decorated with colorful foam mats, a life-size rainbow, an indoor play area and a play chest covered in toys.

“Not bad for a week’s work,” the singer, who shares the Sky with her boyfriend Chanan Safir Colman, wrote on her Instagram Story of a photo of the room. “This house wasn’t set up for sky crawling/age/toys/feeding etc. So I was pre-ordering stuff and running around to put it together. I love it!”

After making the announcement, Jessie (born Jessica Ellen Cornish) revisited her story to reveal more about where the inspiration for the playroom came from. She also said that she is, “Grateful that I have the space and the time and the finances to love him this way. He loves it.”

“I’m definitely not a monochrome (beige) mom. I mean, I’m beige, but it’s not all about my house and his playroom. I mean, the idea is nice, but it’s just not fun for me. We love some color in here. It makes me so happy. Bright and full of personality like our boy,” she continued.

Jessie gave birth to a son on May 12. A week after his birth, the singer shared the news on Instagram, writing: “A week ago my whole life changed.”

“My son entered this world and my heart doubled,” she continued. “The feeling is indescribable. I am flying in love.”

“He’s magic,” she added. “He is the fulfillment of all my dreams. He is my whole 🌍. Both him and I are great. I soak up every second and still can’t believe he’s real, mine and here. For all of you who have followed my journey to this moment, thank you for all your continued love and support.”

Since welcoming her son, Jessie has also taken to social media to share the sweet moments the two share. In February, she posted an adorable video of Sky interacting with a mirror on Instagram.

In the Instagram video, Sky wore a maroon T-shirt and crawled towards a mirror hanging on the wall. Jessie said “hello” to her son as he approached the item.

Sky seemed delighted with what he saw as he reached out to the mirror and smiled. He could also be heard making a few coos while playing with the mirror while Cordelia’s song “Little Life” played in the background.

“It’s like watching your heart crawl around outside your body. I have never known such love,” the mother wrote with the post.
