Joe Manganiello Jokes He Was ‘Traumatized’ After Filming Nude Scenes in ‘Below 20-Degree’ Weather for True Blood

Even Joe Manganiello has his limits when it comes to his craft!

During Monday’s episode The Jennifer Hudson Show, the Real blood alum, 47, played a would-you-prefer-style question game called “Deal or Not,” where he revealed some of his major deal-breakers.

After admitting he’d rather be able to fly first class than travel the world for free, Manganiello also admitted he’d give up his dream acting roles if it meant filming in the freezing rain.

“Let me tell you something,” he began. “When I was on Real blood we didn’t shoot in Louisiana — warm Louisiana. We shot in Malibu [in] December, January for anyone who is out at night is below 20 degrees even now Real bloodwe were naked.”

“[We did] nothing with clothes! So then they say: ‘Stop shivering, try to make it sexy!’ Like nobody, I’m freezing,” he laughed. “Well, trust me… I wouldn’t accept that. I was traumatized by everything.”

Real blood originally aired on HBO for seven seasons between 2008 and 2014. The series is set in Bon Temps, Louisiana, where vampires, werewolves and other mystical creatures are rampant.
