Joey Graziadei Fears He’s ‘Holding Back’ as He Searches for His Forever Love in New Bachelor Teaser

The Golden Bachelor she may have just finished, but Bachelor Nation already has a new one Bachelor the season we are looking forward to.

During Thursday The Golden Bachelor finale, during which Gerry Turner got engaged to Theresa Nist, ABC premiered a new tease for Joey Graziadei Bachelor season, debuts on January 22.

The clip opens with the voiceover of Joey who has been named the bachelor in the media and women from all over the country are flocking to meet him in person.

“I’m just a normal guy who was looking for his person,” he said to the cameras.

As Joey embarks on his “world quest” to find his true love, clips are shown of the women fighting, kissing, exploring and falling in love with the Bachelor. The dramatic season also includes a special appearance – and some insightful advice – from The Golden Bachelor alum Kathy Swarts.

“The person who will challenge you to be a better person is the woman who will go far,” she says in the teaser.

Later, Joey admits to the cameras that his own hesitations are getting in the way of finding love. “I’m ready to find my wife, but I’m afraid that someone I’m really starting to express my feelings to doesn’t feel the same way,” he says.

As more heartbreak and tears are shown on camera, Joey can be heard saying, “I just thought we’d have more time.”

In a dramatic final moment, Joey breaks down on camera. “I want to let myself go, I want to be fully in it and I’m trying, but I’m holding back,” he says. “Last time it was taken away from me, I don’t want to feel that way again.”

The teaser comes after a first look at Joey’s season was previewed during the penultimate episode The Golden Bachelor, and later during commercial breaks for the final episode.

“I just feel the most ready in my life for an engagement, a marriage,” he said in the clip as clips of his season played on the screen. – I get butterflies.

Host Jesse Palmer announced Joey, 28, as the new Bachelor in August after Bachelor main Charity Lawson sent him home in her final and got engaged to Dotun Olubeko.

“It’s sinking very slowly, but I’m doing my best to stay present, I’m enjoying it, but this is crazy,” Joey said at the time. “I mean, I’ll be the first person to say this is wild. I didn’t expect this at all, I didn’t know this was what my life was turning into at this point. So yeah, crazy stuff, but I’m excited.”

Taking to Instagram after the news broke, Joey admitted he had experienced “real heartbreak”. Bachelorbut he looked forward to his journey as a bachelor.

“I can’t wait to see what unfolds in the next few months,” the tennis pro wrote. “I’ve grown immensely with my time on the show and I know I’ll always have room for further growth. But I feel more ready than ever to find my person.”

He continued: “I know this is not going to be easy, but I can promise you that I will do my best and try to just enjoy it. All I can do is be myself to the end and hope I’m lucky enough to find love.”

Joey said Good morning America that his instinct will tell him when he has met the right person. “You just get that feeling,” Kelley Carter said.

The Pennsylvania native also shared what he learned after appearing on Bachelor.

“You just want to be fully committed to it all and realize that there are a lot of things that are out of your control,” Joey said. “But what I accept is that I completely surrender to it and accept it for whatever it is going to be.”
