Chrissy Teigen and John Legend relationship timeline
Teigen told PEOPLE last month that her 10-year wedding anniversary with Legend was “really special.”
“[It was] much more emotional than I expected, but really so good,” she said. “And I just feel so happy and so blessed in all the most ordinary terms. It was so freaking sweet and amazing.”
The Cravings The author also shared that she was initially hesitant to let the couple participate in the celebration, thanks to so many connections from Real Housewives ending the franchise after you do the same. “I didn’t want it to be a vow renewal,” Teigen explained. “I come from the world Real Housewives and vow renewal is the kiss of death, but I said, ‘Let’s kiss him. Let’s do it.’ ”
As for whether the couple plans to renew their vows to mark each decade of marriage they reach, Teigen joked, “My business accountant says they can do it every 25 years.”
“But no, I would, but you want to make it special too,” she continued. “And I really don’t like celebrations, whether it’s my birthday or whatever. But I like gratitude and I like to thank the people who have been there for the past 17 years of our relationship. To me, that was everything.”
