Kaley Cuoco Says She and Tom Pelphrey Cry Over Small Moments with Their Baby Daughter (Exclusive)

Kaley Cuoco insists she hasn’t always been one to cry easily.

But becoming a mum to her 8-month-old daughter Matilda with partner Tom Pelphrey changed that tune entirely.

“Tom and I were sitting with Matilda the other day, and she was literally staring at us, and she touched both of our faces, and just gave us this innocent, really joyful, ‘Hi’ smile,” says Cuoco, 38. This week’s PEOPLE edition.

“I mean, I could cry right now,” she continues. “We both looked at each other and started crying. He says, ‘Is this our life now, where we’re just crying because of everything she does?’ ”

Former Big Bang Theory star recently shared a sweet video on her Instagram Story to kick off the holiday — her daughter’s first Thanksgiving.

Cuoco, who next stars in the Prime Video film Role playingshe sat with Matilda on her lap, repeating the word “mommy” as the baby giggled and squirmed.

The actress then turned to look at something else for a moment, and Matilda said, “Mmmm … mommy mommy.”

At that, the proud mom was completely shocked: “Mom?! What?! You just said mom! What was that?” and blowing kisses all over her little girl.

Cuoco, who just launched her eco-friendly dog ​​product line, Oh Norman!, talked to PEOPLE in October about how her daughter has also grown close to their four rescue dogs, Ruby, Opal, King and Blue.

“Oh my God, she was literally thrown to the wolves,” Cuoco said. “After she was born, I thought, ‘If this kid doesn’t like dogs, I might have to send her back. There’s no choice. This is your life. This is it.’ ”

She added: “They were jumping on her. They were crawling on her. We let them lick her, kiss her. Our pediatrician said, ‘It’s okay.’ So they love her that much.”
